What a waste of a playoff spot. If it weren't for the Rules the Detroit Red Wings would've not only gotten in but also may have somehow taken NY to the limit because of how crazily the team looked to end the season.
As a rangers fan I think Braden Schneider is so underrated he had a great series

Wouldn't agree with the power play being the best in a long time, Oshie, Backstrom and Kuznetsov used to be the big 3 and all 3 are essentially gone from the caps. (besides ovi of course)

Caps fan here, The capitals are just too old and slow, it almost looked like practice for the rangers. Ovechkin is useless on the power play unless he firing one timers but he barely did that. Caps have a lot of work to do and need to find more speed and offense this off-season, congrats to the Rangers
I think that rest is good for the Rangers. I just think that also too much rest could be a bad thing. I'm not saying that's 6 days, or 7 days, or any set amount of time. I'm saying there could be a point where something in their brain switches off, especially if the Islanders and Canes series continues for a while. It could turn into, "OK, we'll just have to wait and see who it is, in the meantime, let's enjoy ourselves a little too." Either way though, they'll have a few days to prepare also once they know their opponent, so they won't be completely cold or unprepared for the first game of the next series.

Talking about stats you mentioned: Rangers outscored Caps 15-7 overall. Only 7-5 edge on 5v5 goals.
As a rangers fan, I was well happy! Tom Wilson didn’t manage to injure anybody which is a big W! Every area of the ice performed and bounced back the second they scored! Interesting to see if Chytil makes a return now that he’s been back on the ice for a few weeks!
