  1. Given the salary cap issues and the injury issues the oilers started the season with, I think its a little disingenuous to point a finger at any of the line up choices made. They played with only 17 skaters twice, due to all the issues. And some of those 17 skaters had health issues they were playing through. Jay was always going to get replaced by Jeff's choice for head coach so let's stop pointing fingers at how it was back then and just focus on how good it is now.

  2. Oilers PP is amazing. Trouble is, it was last year and when a team learns to limit the Oilers PP, ie – Vegas Golden Knights or the Refs decide to put away the whistles, both of which happened last year, the 5 vs 5 scoring isn't sufficient to win games. Sure hope that improves this year or may be a repeat of last year.

  3. Oilers sticks are all over the place the their Line Changes are sloppy they set far to many illegal pickplays and they are still retaliating(Kane,Perry,Draisaitl,Foegle) and for chuckles just watch Desharnais and count the fouls he racks up every shift….its something to behold actually… The Oilers discipline has been below average but the Reffs have not been calling them yet for some reason but they will as we go along . Once again the Oilers are PP Merchants who cannot score 5×5 and thats really a joke, nobody wants to see PP Merchants win a Cup while everybody else works so hard. Skinner still looks Pedestrian, sell it as hard as you want but the Oilers do not look like Champions far from it, hollowback snowcones maybe but not Champions.
