No more excuses
As a Florida Panthers fan, I'm disgusted! Our offense was fine. The primary need was defense. And we threw away pieces of our future for a rental player who doesn't meet our primary need and who will be gone after the season ends. Terrible move by the Panthers!
In speaking with other fans, I'm not alone. We didn't want this.
Panthers fan here. Not happy about this. This does not address the team's weaknesses. We gave up too much for a rental who is not a good fit. You guys can take him back.

BIGGEST Flyers mistake in dealing with Giroux? … Putting the C on his shirt. The second he was made Captain, his entire play changed. IMHO it ruined the team by putting unnecessary pressure on him…You let him be the playmaker and play his game. You give the C to guys like Pronger, Lindros, Messier. He's not built to be a captain and that's not a shot at him, it's a compliment. He was such a force to be reckoned with before we put the C on his jersey. Facts..Also, A note to Chuck Fletcher.. Bro, you got fleeced. We got more for an Aaron asham then we did for giroux lmao..and the draft picks? Huh? The Panthers are so good this season, those draft picks are going to be essentially worthless. I understand we needed Change as did Giroux but Christ almighty.

From worst to first
It is hard to believe that I used to be a fan of this team & organization. Sadly, this team and organization has followed suit of so many other things in my life. It has simply crumbled into something that is neither a shadow or reflection of what it used to be. If there were a "St. Jude Award" in the NHL, this organization would win it every year. They are simply a lost cause no longer worthy of my time, devotion or affection. This is yet another slap in the face to the fans, and yet another example of the endless futility and fecklessness of this organization.
Did we get anything for him?
This is probably the best for Giroux, but the Panthers already have strong offense so I don't know why they showed interest in him. The Rangers or the Blues should have took him instead.
G, you'll Always be remembered as a Flyer Great! Even though we didn't win a Cup together, I wish you the best and hopefully you can grab the Cup this year since the Flyers are not involved. The Best to you!
