The recent playoff history of OUR Winnipeg Jets: 2018: Win Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals (lose 4 straight), 2021: Win 4 straight and sweep the Oilers in the 1st round (lose 4 straight), 2023: Win Game 1 of the 1st round (lose 4 straight), 2024: Win Game 1 of the 1st round (lose 4 straight).
Next season I’m not even getting excited for this team unless they win a round in the playoffs. How depressing is that?

Helly played poorly. Didn’t get the saves when we needed them.

Embarrassed to be a fan after this series. Just dominated be them. Won’t spend another cent on this team until things gets better. Rather they miss the playoffs and still have 1st round picks than this bullshit. Just Embarrassing. The players and coaches should hang their heads in shame. If bones has a backbone he will resign.

The Jets are a decent team but you gotta be the best to win the cup. There somewhere in middle of the pack but that’s better then not making the playoffs at all.
Jets have lost 10 of the last 11 home playoff games that were played in front of a crowd (so not counting the neutral ice games in Edmonton or the ones played with no fans in attendance against Edmonton the following year).
In some ways it’s worse than Jets 1.0. A lot of those first round exits went 7 games. Yet while I don’t feel a lot of optimism around this version of the Jets, it’s more than I felt back in the day. That said, I’d like to see a bit of a youth movement. We might not be better but it’s not like this roster is winning either.
That’s sports. Plus I put this series on the coaching over the players. I know this core doesn’t have a great rep but they fucking tried tonight and it felt like they were going to pull it off until Bones went and screwed with the lines. Upgrade the D and coaching and we’ll see next year

Perhaps this annihilation will teach us not to chant shit like “Pull your goalie” in Game 1, or be cheering when a player might be injured.
It’s not a good look, and always comes back to bite us.
