Rangers fans react to taking a 3-0 series lead over the Washington Capitals.
Igor Shesterkin made 28 saves, and the New York Rangers pushed the Washington Capitals to the brink of elimination with a 3-1 win in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference First Round at Capital One Arena on Friday.
New York leads the best-of-7 series 3-0. Game 4 will be in Washington on Sunday.
Vincent Trocheck had a goal and an assist, and Chris Kreider and Barclay Goodrow scored for the Rangers, who are the No. 1 seed in the Metropolitan Division. Mika Zibanejad had two assists.
John Carlson scored for the Capitals, who are the second wild card from the East. Charlie Lindgren made 19 saves.
New York went 1-for-4 on the power play; Washington was 0-for-6.

Igor finished strong, but could have had a shutout if he didn't decide to take a nap on that caps goal 💤😅 still, what an incredible response by the rangers. they are fun to watch. however, if they give up that many PP's to a quality team like the panthers, it could spell disaster. they need to tighten that up and play more disciplined moving forward.

First time going up 3-0 in a series since we swept the Thrashers in 2007, definitely needed this. Let's close this series out early, no need to draw it out any longer. It was awesome to see Igor go in complete shut down mode after letting up that softy, showed he really cared to redeem himself. Now we have a chance to eliminate the Caps on Sunday, LGR!!!

Im a die hard Rangers fan and I went to 2 Rangers games and it’s fucking electric.
The first game the rangers won 5-1 on December 27 against the caps.
The second game was march 26 the Rangers won in ot against the Flyers 6-5
The Rangers better watch out for that cup and take it.
