Lets clear some things up, eichle demanded trade b4 surgery talks, he didnt seek trade bc sabres wouldnt let him get his surgery that was a lie for pity, second eichle came into his last season outta shape got hurt rushing back into shape then got hurt again n blamed buffalo lol. He is a great player but horrendous leader, never once hustled to bench after shift, threw tantrums on ice if he missed shots ,his actions led to oreilly wanting out n he actually treated buffalo citizens like shit in public (non sabres related events) that interview showed his true shitty nature, still dude is very fun to watch on ice but 100% deserved the boos for betraying his contract 7 season short

Us Buffalo fans supported him from day one until he left even last night some people where glad to see him back but now that he threw all us fans under the bus, if he thought the boo's were loud last night he has absolutely no idea what he's in for next time we have the pleasure of him visiting!! And no we DON'T miss him!!
I never seen him as a pillar in our community and after his first 3 seasons his puck hogging ways just really brought the team down any way good riddance the Sabres will build a far better team then has ever been without him in the fold just wait and see.

Zero accountability self absorbed me first player. Team gave him 10m per year, fired coaches for him, made him captain, brought in his friends, drafted player to play with him, brought in free agents for him, etc. They gave the team to him. He delivered zero playoff appearances, zero winning seasons, ignored his teammates and pouted the entire time. Great player but an emotionally self-absorbed train wreck.
