Has Steven Stamkos played his final game as a member of the Lightning?

Steven Stamkos took a few extra moments to soak it all in on the ice tonight after the Lightning were eliminated in five games to the Panthers. With pending UFA status looming, could this be the final game in Stamkos’ Lightning career?

  1. Stamkos has always been a class act, will be sad if he has to leave the Lightning. He's one of those Marquee players….like Ovi, that should get Drafted by a team and retire with that team. He still has some in the tank, hopefully things work out for him. Either way whatever happens, wishing him the best. ❤

  2. He’s definitely leaving. Anaheim Ducks has 33 million in cap space and we’re gonna pay him 8-10 million for 3 years

  3. Stamkos won’t leave Tampa and for good reason. He can stay in Tampa and watch his career spiral downhill and nobody will care. If he goes to a big hockey market he’ll be under the microscope.

  4. Gosh, I hope Stamkos re-signs with the Lightning ASAP. What’s worse than the Toronto media (rightfully) bashing the Leafs playoff performance? Speculating ALL freakin' summer that Stamkos is going to be a Leaf and “what the Leafs will need to do to make it happen.”

  5. He might not be considered that old but let’s not forget how many injuries this guy had throughout his career especially early on, it probably caught up to him, plus he’s got some cups under his belt.

  6. Perfect timing for him to go to Utah. They have capspace. The team is on the up. Its a perfect fit.
