Lmao I got crucified on the last game thread for suggesting this as a path forward. Thompson has been great, but sometimes a goalie change is needed to get a team going and get a change of momentum. Hopefully, this does that.

Bold move. Thought Thompson played well and was one of the few bright spots. May be more of a message to the rest of the team to get going, but man after the series Logan has played this is a risky maneuver.

Getting the band back together. Maybe Adin Mountain ⛰️ injury is fully healed?

  4. Even if Thompson has been “figured out” it doesn’t change the fact that Hill was playing horrible prior to playoffs. Maybe he’s better healed now and more up to the work load. At least I sure hope he is.

Logan has to be worn out! Our offense needs to stop turning over the puck and give our defense some relief 😮‍💨

Hill hasn’t played in two weeks. And was bad when he did play. I can honestly say I don’t know what the fuck he’s thinking. I’ve never doubted Bruce before, but taking out the only consistent player you’ve had is certainly a choice.

Butch also inserted Doro and Hutton and put the lines & pairings into the blender.

But good or bad, **this** decision will definitely be the one that defines our postseason. Hope we get the Hill from the playoffs last season and not the Hill from the end of this season.

From an objective standpoint I think this might be the correct decision if you want a different look at goalie, either Hill plays well and we win and we stick with him for game 6. If we lose we go back to LT for game 6.

Basically the same thing as a few years ago between Lehner and Fleury just that was misplayed as we should’ve kept Lehner in the next game instead of going back to Fleury then back to Lehner for the elimination game.

Oh will you look at that. Its ok guys I will be gracious about all the terrible things people said about me and my post yesterday saying that Dallas has honed in on logans weakness and are having great success in doing so.

Nah siiike fuck you all who doubted me now I get the last laugh. “YoU DoNt KnOw AnYthINg ABoUt HocKeY”

    hahaha.

Next time listen and shut yer yappers. Given the shit I took yesterday I have a right to gloat right now.

yike, this has a high potential to end very poorly

Is this for real? No way.. didn’t think Cassidy would do this but Thompson is too beatable in certain areas. Glad I’m not the only one who thought LT was an issue Monday night

  12. Worth a shot. LT has been great, but he could probably use a game off after being attacked by the firing squad the last 2 games

Kinda excited for this. Logan’s been amazing but now that Hill has had proper time to rest up and get his nerves in order, I would love to see him go back to last year form

I think both goal tenders are suspect and it’s gonna take the kind of team defense we saw last post season for this team to succeed

  15. CanadaEUBI

Hill is a solid goalie and had one of the best goalie coaches working with him (Fred Brathwaite). I’m calling a shutout.

  16. It makes sense since even if you lose tonight you will need LT game 6 and 7. May as well give him a breather and try to steal one with Hill

  17. SomethingOriginal_01

Well, this will go one of two ways, right?

1 – We either get a healed Stanley Cup winning Adin Mountain in net and he’s a new challenge for Dallas to try and sort out.

2 – We get 23/24 Regular Season Hill and they light him up.

I think now is the time to test it though, as opposed to it being a hail mary in an elimination game. Say he doesn’t work out tonight and Cassidy goes back to LT, at least by Game 6 he’s had some time to rest.

  18. This is either a genius move, or a major miscalculation. Conventional wisdom says you stick with your guy, and Thompson has not been bad.

All four games have essentially been 1-goal games if you don’t count empty netters. I didn’t watch the last game, but I’m given to understand at least two of our goals could at best be described as “fluky”.

I dunno, this is a strange move.

/ Stars fan, not coming in peace, but with respect. I won’t say good luck.

  19. Well maybe they’ll have to game plan differently. Does Hill have different tendencies from LT? I know for LT it’s been talked about: 5hole and right side (I think). Hopefully Hill is better in those two shot areas
