  1. I hope Robertson isn’t part of a package for a trade. Hate to give up on him already. Smallish player. But o have a strong feeling. He’s going to be a decent nHL player.

  2. If can’t get JT Miller go get Klingberg and work a deal for Kessel. He’s on his last year and Leaf’s are paying part of his contract. Plus Yotes said Tuey would retain Kessels cap. Which means a bit more. If going after JT Miller. Schenn has to go with the package.

  3. I’m with Adam. Klingberg is the last guy our defence needs. Sure, he’d make the Leafs “better” but not in a way that would actually matter come playoff time.

  4. Yo, just a heads up, for guys like Klingberg and JT Miller, freakin Kerfoot and a pick isn't close. Just FYI, you're not in the ballpark yet.

Also, Robertson for Klingberg doesn't get it done either. It doesn't. He's been hurt for 50% of his professional career and he hasn't blown the doors off recently when he returned.

  5. Leafs don’t need klingberg and no disrespect but he’s not worth the asking price, they need a shutdown second pairing guy, personally I’d prefer Calvin De Haan idk if that possibly. The leafs have shown they can play a shutdown style of play they just don’t sometimes, example Thursdays game against the wild vs Saturday against the wings, was like watching two different teams

  6. Oh God Adam. AWFUL TAKE.

Out of Dallas' top 4 it's
    Heiskanen
    Klingberg

A fifty foot pile of dirt

    Lindell

Another 50 foot pile of dirt

    Then Suter.

Tell me you haven't watched any Stars games without telling me you haven't watched any Stars games

  7. I would take Josh Manso and even Luke Schenn at this point….bottom 3 D are horrible and weak.

  8. Jesse just reads Sportsnet's articles and hasn't watched a single game played by Klingberg. My gosh, Adam is absolutely correct in that he's brutal defensively. Watch him play and he'll drive you insane between his terrible defense and the fact he's a turnover machine. I wouldn't waste any assets on his expiring contract because we don't need his offense, he won't be on the top PP unit. Otherwise, why else would you get him? If you're Dubas, you go get Chychrun, simply because if the Leafs get bounced in the first round again, one or both of these things happens:

    1) Dubas gets fired and an retool of this roster is going to take place.

    2) One of the core 4 players goes, so you can afford to keep Chychrun's contract.

Either way, this will/should be the last kick at the can for Dubas and this current core of players because change will be inevitable.

  9. JT is great but it will cost too much. Go for Connor Garland if Robertson doesn't meet expectations. Klingberg is great offensively but offers no defense. I think we need to target somone who offers a little of both.

  10. trade dallas klingberg joe pavelski and holtby from toronto holl dermot and mrazyk and roberson
    what you think guys
