Dog you’re about to turn 36… this ain’t a retirement home (respectfully)

  2. Bentley2004

How many times you see that,
When no contract can be had!

  3. Peckerhead321

PTO next year and hopefully he gets a spot

  4. KN1GH7F4LL

League minimum 1 year contract and it’s yours 🤷‍♂️ if he is serviceable at TDL he gets shipped to a contender

  5. Quasihodor

Dude hasn’t put up less than 45 points since 2015.

We’ve only had 15 players put up more than 45 points per season in that time frame.

    Suzuki x 3

    Pacioretty x 2

    Galchenyuk x 2

    Drouin x 2

    Tatar x 2

    Danault x 2

    Caufield x 1

    Domi x 1

    Slafkovsky x 1

    Matheson x 1

    Radulov x 1

    Petry x 1

    Shaw x 1

    Subban x 1

    Plekanec x 1

100% would sign him to a 1 year contract, or even 2 years if he takes a team-friendly deal. Could be good trade deadline fodder too and brings a winning pedigree to the team.

  7. cosmicturtle0

anyone saying they don’t want him on a cheap 1 or 2 year deal is crazy, this is the type of veteran presence you need to help bring young guys up to the next level and getting them competing.

  8. Burgergold

    3M 1y for 15g 40-45pts I wouldnt say no

Could start on the third and take some shift on 2nd if required

  9. “It’s always been a dream to play for the Habs and now that nobody wants me, I can probably mail it in a couple hours away from my home town.”

In reality he’s still decent but I’m offended by the “always been a dream” haha I’m sure he had a chance before and didn’t.

  10. Oh is it already time to give a retirement contract to yet another Franco player who never wanted to be here despite being a UFA 78 times?

  11. OkAnything4877

Quebec players always try this when they’re old and trying to get one last contract, but never wanna play here otherwise. No thanks David.

  12. Physical-Asparagus48

Would be a great fit on a 2 yr deal at a reasonable salary.

  13. SignificantRain1542

Never too late to make your dream come true but it sure is odd timing. Thanks, but no thanks.

  14. If he signs for around $2.5 million for a year or two, hometown discount plus some signing and performance bonus then it is solid vet depth, with Gally and Anderson, young guys to fight for time. Plus obviously injuries, we sign him, he gets hurt right away and we LTIR until playoffs.

  15. I dont see it tha bleak (from the sentiment from the comment section). We’ve seen some sweet mentoring work Suz->Slaf. Maybe Perrron wil teach kid another trick or two 😉

  16. Man, j’hais les ti gars de chez nous lmao. Ils veulent toujours venir quand ils sont plus dans leur primes.

  17. daredevil09

2 weeks ago he said he hope it work out, to stay in Detroit.

  18. A few seasons too late, he would have been fun to have in his prime.

  19. jockey1381

I’ll take him for minimum. Anything more no thank you

  20. flepine44

Next time we play Detroit, put Coldplay all game long

  21. QUOI!

  23. Fuck off. He had the chances to, but chose to sign elsewhere for more $. Now he’s trying to leverage a new contract for himself…
