This has been over before it started. Bedard could be a -100 and it wouldn’t matter. I do feel for this year, Faber deserves the award but that doesn’t matter as Bedard is Canada’s future golden child. He’s a great player – period, just this season I feel Faber deserves this hardware..
Everything happens for a reason….Bedard stealing the Calder from Faber (if you know you know) could create the very chip on a future CAPTAIN'S shoulder that's needed to lead a team to the cup. Chicago will start getting good here in a couple years, right on track with the Wild being actual contenders, they are division rivals as well, so importance increases. Chicago will eventually be a team we need to beat again in the post-season.
If I'm Faber…I'm saying "keep your trophy…I want the Cup". Faber bleeds Minnesota, he knows what's at stake for everyone in this fan base (I hope). And I honestly cannot wait to see how it plays out. I want to see fired up Faber with a C on his chest…it's destiny!
Rossi is still my boy…he's probably #2 for me, just behind Ekker…of my favorite players. I absolutely LOVE the heart in this kid, and his pedigree is VERY rare. A lot of guys wouldn't have made it thru the setbacks Marco has had, and let's not forget, he dropped the gloves for Kaprizov, without hesitation. All this said, I can't disagree with the notion of GMBG trading him…especially if it's a play to move up in this year's draft. We could get a 1st rounder for Rossi right now, I would think. Just barely, but to the right team…1st rounder, for sure. Thoughts?
