  1. Not nearly enough for Hill. Fourth rounder?!?! Sharks give away a proven NHL GT to a Western team desperate for a GT,,, for peanuts/ could have gotten much more.

  2. I enjoyed Hill when he was playing for the Tucson Roadrunners. When he went up to AZ he did well for a call up. Arizona tends to make good goaltenders so Vegas getting one for only a 4th round pick is pretty good.

  3. The golden knights have nothing to worry about, after all they traded me for Mikael Hakkarainen. He should solve all their problems between the pipes.

  4. Wrong SJS goalie I thought was gonna go to Vegas, I thought fs they’d be going for Reimer instead

  5. Mark Stone's injuries (back) seem to be plaguing him like (Pacioretty). Suddenly can't stay healthy. Stone's contract is now looking bad the last 3 years, not aging well for a 30 year old.

  6. The only thing left before the season starts we need from Philly is to see who gets injured in camp.

  7. Don’t let this take away from the fact that in 1990 the flyers had 15 of the top 50 players on the roster or were drafted for. Take a look at the players they didn’t get and the ones they did from that brain buster of a draft! Yikes…the flyers are the kings of after the fact drafters! Example they had 4 picks from 42-47…..and they miss 45 victor kozlov! Good grief!

  8. Not sure the purpose of this, Hill as the 3rd stringer? Perhaps VGK knows something we don't about LT's game, but guy looks solid so I am sure they will be fine with him.

  9. A 4th seems really cheap for Hill, unless Sharks were really desperate for cap space, which I don't think they are.

  10. I don't think Vegas will make the playoffs and even if they get in, they will be an easy 1st round exit. They don't have a #1 goalie for this season and their platoon goalies have not played much. While Bruce Cassidy is a good coach, the roster is too much of a mess to make it a playoff team.

I still see the Flames, Oilers and Kings(Doughty will more likely be healthy for a whole season) making the playoffs. It would not surprise me if the Canucks miss the playoffs again, but finish above Vegas.

  11. As an east coast observer, this feels like another team bailing out Vegas. Need a goalie? Here take ours. What you just signed Pietrangelo but can't afford him? We'll take that extremely overpaid player off your hands without any compensation. The expansion draft was kind of weak for you? Fret not we have a couple of our best young players to just give you as a welcome to the league gift.

  12. Trading for Hill is literally one of the best moves VGK has made in years. I don't mean that sarcastically, but there is definitely implied implications there.

  13. On a side note, pre Seattle expansion draft, I was thinking Talbot/Hill would be a decent possible goalie tandem. After last year it is still to be determined if that would have been a better option.

  14. Hill/Thompson for the rotation maybe brossoit/Thompson depending on how brossoit plays but I think Thompson should be kept up this year depending on play of course. I don’t think there’s much left for Thompson to do in the AHL
