  1. I'd love to see us trade up if we don't win the lottery. We have lots of young pieces, but need some more top end talent

  2. i dont even wanna hear PLD and the Habs. Clearly after 3 teams, maybe its the systems, but im betting my loonies its mostly on the player himself. If we want a winning culture, hes not it.

  3. Winning the lottery this year would pretty much guarantee a battle for the playoffs as soon as next year. I mean, a guy like Celebrini or even Demidov (if he can come to NA, I don't really know with those Russian players) would put the top 6 in an another level completely. Sure, they will be rookies and we would not expect 40g and 40 assists right away but something in the water of solid 50-60 points should do the tricks IMO. I dont think Roy can bring that already and I would be confortable to have him on a third. Can't wait for the draft!

  4. PLD is sitting on his cash, he does not seem to be interested to pay the price for being a great player, with his size and talent, he should be a superstar but, he’s far from that, all the last teams that had him now want to get rid of him!

  5. After 2 good games 5 and 6 if leafs don't win game 7 ,it will be devastating, they need to win for themselves and the fans

  6. Size is great if you play with size. I'd avoid russians with all the geo-political problems. Whose to say in a year or 2 Russia starts conscripting everyone possible ? Denies citizens to leave ? Unless they defect of course.

  7. Hi just wanna ask, how can i watch the lottery will it be on youtube somewhere or some "weird" website or where??

  8. My thoughts….. Bettman is polishing them balls and Utah magically wins the draft lottery!😂😂

  9. PLD could've been a great player but just doesn't play up to his contract. Way too risky for 8m but could theoretically be worth one chance somewhere for a fourth or a third of that. Maybe; but also maybe not.

  10. It would be great if Monahan centered a line with players that we will get from the 2 first round picks we got for him!

  11. There's no chance we'd select Demidov with the first pick or trade to move up for him. He hurt his knee, badly, the very same knee that had him sidelined beginning of the season and this time it seems it's a doozy he could barely get off the ice by himself, mates had to help him climb out to the bench. It happened almost a week ago and there's still no update, doesn't bode too well. He might still go real high but only if he get to the combine with a knee the doctors can assess as not-so-problematic for his near future. (And it's pretty much the same thing for Cayden Lidstrom, kid is also crazy good but he's spent more time in care than on the ice, you don't take that kind of risk with a top 10 first round pick)

  12. Watch out for Beckett Sennecke, who could be a really sneaky pick for the habs at 5th overall. His base numbers arent amazing, but once you take out his poor start of the season (because he grew 5inches!), he really bounced back in a good way with a very encouraging end to the season and strong playoffs. The fact it took him so little time to adjust to such a big change in his body (from 5'9 to 6'2) is a great sign.

With insane hands, very good IQ and great skating, he has some of the best tools in this draft and he is only gonna get better once he grows into his body., A good comparaison for him is Matt Boldy, and he could be a top6 player with Top line potential.
