When the coach calls you out in the Playoffs

It was another great regular season for David Pastrnak. 47 goals, 110 points and comfortably the team leader in both. However, it hadn’t been so in the playoffs. A rough first round, he had just 2 goals and 4 points through 6 games which led to his own coach Jim Montgomery publicly calling him out for needing to be better. On the other side, we had another 88 in William Nylander. Noticeably out of the series the first 3 games, he came back and scored the only 2 goals for the leafs in their 2-1 victory in game 6. So, coming into what was now a 4th consecutive game 7 between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Boston Bruins, the question was would it be a number 88 who could be the difference maker? Spoiler, the answer was yes!

In typical Leafs fashion where the drama never sleeps, pre-game we learned that while Auston Matthews was back, Woll was out which meant we got Samsonov between the pipes for Toronto and Swaymen for the Bruins. The game was another wild one, so sit back and enjoy as I cover it all in todays NHL hockey video!

  1. crazy to think that if the bruins beat the panthers (which would be revenge for last year), they can go on to beat the canes (as revenge for 2 years ago), and then we could go on to either beat the knights (they have our old head coach who we hate) or the Canucks (to remind them who won in 2011)

  2. Why didn’t babybitch’s daddy yell at him like he did in peewee, “I swear to god Mitch, you better start skating!”

  3. Montgomery wasn't having ANY Diva Sh#t😁 Boston isn't Toronto, they have a Winning culture and EXPECT no less.. Sorry not sorry, Toronto leafs have soo MUCH talent with LITTLE Accountability 🥴 If BOSTON had the leaf's ROSTER with Montgomery they WOULD be in the Cup Finals year AFTER YEAR😏✌️

  4. You say great play by the Bruins but that pass to spring Pasta from Hampus was just pure magic, art, finesse, brilliant.

  5. It's Deja Vous all over again for the Bruins and Leafs, but now the Bruins will be out of the frying pan and into the Florida Fire!

  6. Let’s give the credit where it’s due! to the guy who dumped the puck in! he was mostly a no show the whole game! and I could beat Morgan Riley to the net and I’m seventy years young!😊

  7. Woll getting injured trying to save a meaningless shot at the last second of the game he already won is such a Toronto thing

  8. So what he scored a messy goal, he still wasn’t at his best, it’s like he is fighting an injury. Which if he is I hope gets better soon.
Samsonov didn’t do the Leafs any favours on the way he played that last goal…
Yes I truly believe he shoulda been ready to poke check that puck.
