Does Oilers-Canucks season series mean anything in playoff matchup?

The Canucks swept their regular season series against the Oilers, and now both teams meet in the second round of the playoffs for an All-Canadian matchup. TSN Hockey analyst Frankie Corrado joins SC with Jay Onrait to discuss if their regular season series means anything in the postseason, and which players will factor into this series.

  1. Nashville was possible #1 at worst #3 in the back end of the regular season.

They blocked so many shots. Nobody comes close to Nashville's defensive performance in round 1.

    And the Canucks beat them.

Don't be so sure Edmonton is going to run away with this.

  2. Round #2 has begun. There are three great teams in the East, three great teams in the West, and also Boston and Vancouver.

  3. I can't call this series, how are people so sure. Is it just the History? I get McDavid and Draisaitl but other than that Canucks are a really good team and very well coached. Tocchet knows a thing or two about playing the body, that slows down anyone and everyone. Also, Vancouver is big and Oilers have a good defensive game which is overlooked quite often. I think teams are evenly matched, it just comes down to the best players being best players.

  4. What Silovs and Desmith did in the first round was awesome, but the Canucks are at their best with a healthy Demko wall. I would like their chances against Edmonton alot more if he was a main factor. I wouldve loved to see it. Too bad.

  5. i mean i think they both have 16 wins in the last 30 games…..and that was the Canucks without Demko…..Mcdavid had 0 even strength points against us this year…..don't see us as underdogs at all and if we get Demko back healthy i actually think we take them out pretty handily

  6. Loving the fact that people are counting the canucks out already.. we play better in these situations.. also Frank corrado is just thorny cause we traded him lol
