I don't care what anyone says. Matthews needs to go. He has had how many years to prove himself in the playoffs? Very poor management in the Leafs organization. You don't pay a player huge contracts and give them no trade clauses without them proving themselves in the playoffs. And every time the Leafs make the playoffs, Matthews either gets sick or injured. He doesn't care and has no incentive to play hard.

Mathews is poison…there’s definitely something wrong there. Even during the regular season Mathews had ZERO goals in 37 of 81 games! This is 69 goals in 44 games! He had one playoff goal in 5 games!!! This is equivalent to his regular season play! But oh yeah…pick out the 2 scapegoats while 13 million dollar man Mathews is the GOAT! He’s more the howdy doody than the GOAT! It’s the same bs every season in case you haven’t noticed!

Unfortunately the Leafs have not learnt their lessons for the past 4 years. They took too long to fire Dubas and now we got a GM Brad Treviling that is afraid to make changes. So Brad and Shanahan needs to be replaced by Lou Marmollelo or Elliot Freidman as President of Leaf management
Leafs make so much money for the league. They fill every arena they play in and are punished by the cap. They could afford to double the players salary and still make a ton of money.
