Right before the Anaheim Ducks’ final home game of the season, long-time alternate captain Jakob Silfverberg announced that he would be retiring from the NHL after playing 12 seasons. JD Hernandez talks about the career of Silfverberg, including some favorite moments from his 2020 All-Star season, and his role in the Ducks’ epic comeback against the Edmonton Oilers in the 2017 playoffs. Also, we look back at his role in helping some future Ducks feel at home in Anaheim, and the perseverance displayed after countless injuries and coming back to finish out his contract. JD also briefly talks about the newest Duck, Sam Colangelo, signing his entry-level contract and making his NHL debut this weekend. For one final time, “OOH AHH Silfverberg.”
