  1. I think lately the refs are trying to decide the game rather than manage it. Especially if you’re the favourite, you’ll get penalized more often. Tough job, but should be accurate. Shouldn’t be owed a penalty at the refs convenience.

  2. I'm micro dosing every day of the playoffs for you , oh emperor Bubbles…and I'm only drinking bubbly buble drinks for sustenance . It's all for you , oh great emperor.

  3. I met Buble about 15 years ago at his place downtown. That guy swears like a trucker! But he was a friendly dude and tells stories in a funny way. He told myself and another tenant his experience at a charity golf event in Las Vegas. They insisted he participate despite repeatedly telling the organizers he sucked at golf. Once there and warming up with some drives off the tee, he was approached by one of organizers who confirmed his assertions re the calibre of his golf skills. I'm not sure in the intervening years if Michael has improved his game, but that was a cool day.

  4. Wow! Bainbridge/Lougheed area. I lived in that area for 5 years from 04 to 09. As a matter of fact, there's a liquor store at that corner, and i met Cliff Ronning there and said, "Hey! You're Cliff Ronning!"
    Ronning : I'm not him.
Me : O yes you are.
I grabbed some Kokanee and a few minutes later saw him getting into his car which was parked next to mine. It was the first round of the playoffs in 06 i think and i asked him who he liked. He said he liked Edmonton. Oilers had Pronger that year and i think they went to the finals. So Cliff knew his stuff. Sadly for the Oil, Pronger slept with a Edmonton based TV sports reporter, his wife found out, and gave Chris an ultimatum that resulted in his departure to Anaheim in the off season. The Ducks won the Cup that 07 year, and Oilers Nation never forgave that reporter. She still works in TV but not in Alberta. She has since switched out of the sports department.
