Shanahan staying on in Toronto feels like the same NHL Old Boys Club mentality we've seen elsewhere but if the team is profitable maybe that's all they are concerned with.

Your point about "It matters how you win in the playoffs" is so true. When my Sharks won in 2019 game 3 against the Blues from a hand pass, I knew that the Blues would come out violent. Sure enough, we lose in 6 because we have 5 starters out in injuries sustained by the Blues. How you win matters in the playoffs!
That’s the same feeling I had when Englund hit Kane in the chest and his head snapped back and people were like omg he needs to be banned from the NHL, what a dirty hit by an La king blah blah. I toll multiple looks and he hit him dead in the chest and people were just crying all day long about how were dirty but apparently humans hit was totally okay and justified.
The hit may be clean, but Jamie Benn is not, so I have no sympathy for any hate he receives whether deserved or not

Idk if Shanahan feels differently this summer, but he fired Dubas in part because Dubas wanted to trade one of the core guys. Now that he's staying on, idk if any actual big changes are coming.

The "win is a win" argument really is stupid. I said the same thing all 22-23 season with the Devils. People thought it was so great that the Devils had so many comeback wins and how theyre the "comeback kids"

Hits create chances especially in playoffs because the games are really tight. Take a look at Kreider's hit on Aho to create that shorthanded chance with Mika and burying it.

I don't understand all the talk about how Dallas is already almost done. Do they need to clean up a few things? Yea, they do. They need to learn to play a full 60 not 40. Last night Dallas played a 40 min game. The Avs played a 20 – to 30 min game. Any one who is saying this will be a short series is not watching. It should go 6 or 7 games. The teams are to close. The Avs are not the Knights well the Stars are not the Jets. Dallas did not get 1 in the West and challenge for 1 overall because they are a crappy team.
