  1. Losing my mother from stage 4 lung cancer at a young age like that hurts too. They say time heals all wounds, I disagree, you just learn how to cope throughout the years. I miss her like it was yesterday. Happy Mother's day mom.

  2. Dave Manson was my favorite hockey player, my son lost his Sept of 22 , we found out she had cancer on a Thursday night and she was gone Friday afternoon. Thanks for sharing your story Josh. Go Avs

  3. you can tell by how this kid turned out that his mom was a good person. If ever you read this Josh, the best way to honour your mom is to keep being a great dad. I can tell you are that, a great dad, by the way you interact with your daughters.

  4. Mr. Manson, I give my deepest condolences for your loss. Your mom sounds like she was an amazing person. I will be praying for your family, as tomorrow could be hard for you and your dad. Go, Avs.

  5. Same thing happened with my mother, but it was breast cancer. She was cleared and cancer free. 6 months later she was diagnosed with stage four metastatic breast cancer. She fought it every single day and ended up losing her battle. I will always be grateful that I spent all of my time with her until the end. What more can a son do for their mother who sacrificed so much for them?

  6. Great job by Sportsnet and everyone involved.

Growing up in Montreal and getting to see Dave play. You could always see the passion and determination, in his eyes. and his
Son looks to hold the same qualities but with some extra, special qualities.
