Sam Bennett takes out Brad Marchand with a headshot 5/10/24

“Both clubs have been told by the NHL this series will be heavily scrutinized moving forward.” Scrutinize Bennett’s right hand.

  1. Marchand was drilled in the face and might have taken end of stick with right hand. I’ve looked at other replays and his hand clearly Strikes Marchand’s jaw. Looks intentional to me. This goon is known for this stuff.

  2. Played it back at .025 speed, I do see Bennett's right hand extend out first, Marchands head wobbles, followed by the body contact.

  3. Marchand took himself out with that blatant targeting. The hit rocked his head back fast cause he wasn’t expecting that outcome and the boards caused the concussion. You all really need to get your heads out of your asses.

  4. Maybe if he sits, they can get a replacement that doesn’t try to be over fancy and lose possession so many times.

  5. Lol–Same type of hit El Rato leveled Tkachuk with in game 2 with the same result–no penalty–only Tkachuk got back up and continued playing. I wouldn't want to see anyone get injured by a hit to the head, but Marchand is a scumbag and should remember how it feels the next time he thinks about delivering a dirty hit. Headshots have no place in the game and the league needs to do something about it, but nothing will get done unless everyone starts complaining about it happening to ALL players, not just "their" team.

  6. Marchand tried to line him up for a blind-side, and got a smack the jaw and a shoulder to the ribs. He's an idiot, and got exactly what he deserved here. Injuries happen when two bodies collide at speed, that doesn't make it a dirty play. And yes I see the pop to the face, and that's not really relevant. Marchand needs to learn how to throw his cheap hits properly, he looks like a puppy getting thrown down here.

  7. Marchand thought he could hit Bennett when he wasn't looking, oops, that went sideways quick! Ya get what ya give creep.

  8. After looking at the video, it didn't appear to be a head shot on Brad Marchand.

In fact, the point of contact was Marchand's shoulders, not the head.

  9. Bennett should be suspended for that cheap shot – referees have been in the bag for the Pantherpunks the whole series – 13 power plays for Florida and only 6 for Boston – how is that fair?

  10. What goes around comes around. How many times has Marchand done some dirty shit. He's a great player but he's the. Modern day Bobby Clarke/claude Lemieux. Skilled but very dirty. He finally got a taste of his own medicine

  11. To all those people who are blind. Watch Bennetts right hand in slow motion. Pretty clearly punched Marchand in the jaw.

  12. He had to have been already concussed or hurt before this hit, and even looked to question making the check.

  13. If this is considered a headshot or cheap i hate to see where the game is in 5 years. Stop feminizing the game

  14. This just looks like a hit and even if the hand follows through slightly up high which doesn’t seem that way, l it’s the farthest fucking thing from a punch…

  15. Yall saying this is clean are blind and dumber than hell. Bennett clearly cracks Marchand in the jaw with his right hand. Probably got him with the knob of the stick. Marchand was out before he hit the ice. If you can't see that, idk what to tell you.

  16. Marchand is weak! Attempted to check a player, but gets put in his place. Embarrassing that hockey fans are even suggesting this was a dirty hit. Lol, Pathetic!

  17. Marchand tries to body check Bennett and gets the worst of it. Boston fans get over it and stop crying, Marchand will do plenty of that when they get eliminated by Florida soon.

  18. I guess no one saw Marchand spear a Florida defenceman just before leaving the game. Get over it and stop crying. Boston is one of the dirtiest teams in the Nhl

  19. I personally watched this hit 30 times and don’t see shit other than a basic hit that happens 500 times a single hockey game any given night. Maschand forgot his glass slippers. End of story.
