Maybe Danny Briere is going to lay low this summer, but there will certainly be opportunities to begin accumulating the high-end talent the Flyers so desperately need. Maybe it’s Buffalo moving on from one of the high-priced D-men. Maybe the Leafs want more culture and are willing to part with skill to get it. Is it time for Danny to accelerate the rebuild?

That "teaching guys how to play this way" that Torts says aint to far from the truth just look atTyson or even Brink. Foerster became an early canidate for possible selkie obviously he wasnt gonna win it but that defensive side of gis game wasnt there previously. I know a lot of people have mixed feelings about Torts but I think hes a really good coach especially for young players.

The right move is seeing what Ottawa wants for their first pick. They definitely aren't going to just rebuild, they're going to do things to turn around things for next year. We should not being trying to get Marner or anyone else. Picks and build.
Radek Bonk is an Ottawa legend, their fan base would salivate for his son.

I like the reference of dumb franchises making dumb trades. That's a massive pipe dream that you are praying for as a philly fan. I am a flyers fan and the flyers in their history have made seriously dumb trades. Sharp, Williams and Bryzy Bear to name 3. The flyers are in year #2 of a rebuild. If you are pipe dreaming Tkachuk coming here dream on. Philly has to load the farm. The best teams build with talent from the draft. With a surplus of prospects and picks they make the moves to finish the puzzle. We are no less than 2 years away from adding the big ufa or star addition in a trade. This isn't rocket science, it is reality. We can only take on so many crap contracts till we become the east version of The former coyotes. Patience is key, stay the course.
