  1. Hi, Josh, Jesse, 4U2, Tony & all my friends.

I hope everyone is doing great. I had to edit my post because I put down that I lived in Montreal and surrounding cities from 1969-1972. It should have said from 1969 to 1980. I Lived in downtown Montreal for the first three years. The surrounding areas for nine more years, before moving to Niagara Falls. I met a lot of those same players for the next 6 years at the Molson NHL Slo-pitch tournament. I knew the mayor's daughter during this time and would get a VIP bracelet. I hung out with the Habs & Detroit Red Wings players all night. Molson Brewery sponsored the tournament. They also would supply the Molson Canadian & Molson Gold beers. They would take the beer away around 3 am every night. But, Guy Carbonneau every year would fill up a couple of green garbage cans full of ice and beers for after the Molson's crew left. I met so many of the Canadiens and Red Wings players through that tournament. I also met most of the Buffalo Sabres through the owner of the bar named Romby’s. I started drinking there when I was 14 years old. I had a full beard and mustache by then. He played for the Sabres during the seventies. His name was Doug Rombo. On my 18th birthday, I had my party at the bar and told Doug that I just turned 18. Great guy. He thought I was of age 4 years earlier. Hahaha!! Have a great night everyone. 🥳🤯😂

  2. Slaf is more then just a good player. Hes a character. Caufield is playing fantastic. Guhle is playing fantastic. They were great. Caufield could be like Stamkos where hes a sniper who also is a good playmaker. Maybe not as good but who knows! I believe Marty even said that too. Hes super good.

  3. Ahoj,
We all love Slaf and his goofiness, He is confident, hi is star, but I like that Ramsay talk to him to calm down with talking bad about the refs.

  4. Slaf actually is playing more playmaking role than goalscorer role so far in this tournament. i mean, here in slovakia all fans expect goals from him, but he plays good hockey and created lot of scoring chances for his linemates. lets see what tomorrows game vs USA will bring

  5. Hello ! It's one hour after midnight here in Slovakia, and I'm watching Habs Digest. 7:48 translation : "These judges are so fu**ed up that I've never seen it before in my life ! Fag**t is the first referee, and also the second !!!
Juraj Slafkovský was upset on the bench while pointing his fingers at the referees on the ice.

Slafkovský complained about the referees even after the match. He was alluding to the situation when, after a German goal, Slovak coach Craig Ramsay (former Sabres player) asked for a coaching challenge, which was evaluated negatively and Slovak Team received another 2min. penalty.

"I think that when a player is standing in the goal area and hits the goalkeeper with his stick twice , it is a clear foul in my opinion. But the Fa**ot referee allowed it. While in next match, the referees did not allowed the goal od Czechia, after slashing the goalkeeper with a hockey stick. said Slaf.

  6. You started this video with saying that the forwards are not just playing well, but get to the gritty character, have heart.
I believe this is why we are not interested in Zegras.

  7. Just to get some perspective from Europe and Slovakia. Slaf is definitely not that celebrated by hockey experts, media and national team management after cursing refs and making fun of opponent. Many see it as very unnecessary and disrespectful. Here in Slovakia, we would be growing up looking at our idols like Hossa, Demitra, Satan, Chara, Gaborik, Stastny… (list is long) and we would always value paying back to opponents by delivering the result and leaving the heart out on ice, but humble, never disrespecting others. In fact that was exactly what we've seen from Slaf this season in MTL, so he earned our hearts as clear future leader that builds upon shoulders of our former stars. That's why some ppl are rather surprised by some of his expressions in last 2 games. Swedish TV-expert Erik Grunqvist, Slovak GM Miro Satan and our coach (Canadian) Craig Ramsay were very unimpressed and the last 2 are trying to calm him down. Ramsay said that it is never good idea to fight refs and also tens tactic does not build on creating conflicts. If Canadian player would show crying gesture as Slaf did, he would be most hated player in Europe, but Slaf is getting away with it for now. Some even like it for sure, but definitely very polarising. Hockey experts here in Europe are saying Slaf/Slovakia will definitely get in trouble in matches against big opponents, because now every team knows that Salfs fuse is very short, so they will easily throw out our best player.
Funnily – just before Worlds started and our (SVK) managers closed the roster, they were very unsure if to keep Pospisil in, because of his ability to spark conflicts. The guy who is seen as the most positive surprise of the season for Calgary Flames coach. And after 2 games, we can see that Pospisil is actually delivering what Ramsay wants him to do. Leading 3rd line better than any other centre, being very physical, but staying out of trouble. Hopefully Slaf will get his temper a bit under control. We hope he can become future captain of Chara´s caliber.
    Cheers to Montreal.

  8. Zegras is signed for two more seasons with a 5.75mill cap hit and still RFA. We are not fully contending till then so it’s not as risky as people make it seem. It really depends on what it will cost to trade for him cause even if he doesn’t fit our team.. he could be a trade asset. Not saying we should get him but just clearing out the PLD contract comparison. I wouldn’t give Guhle for him.

  9. Shane Who? Slaf IS exactly who the Habs need and it's getting clearer and clearer. Seems this season he's playing a lot more with his head up too. With Suzuki and Caulfield, this could be among the more dynamic lines in the league next season. A little more secondary scoring would be nice too to keep opponents attention more divided on who to watch when playing Montreal.

  10. Slaf is becoming my favorite player, haven't bought a jersey since Richer #44, I might one with his name, the guy is so young just a kid now, imagine at 26. Yikes, I'm scared for the rest of the Nhl.

  11. GUYS!! I honestly feel like we should TRADE UP to number 2 because that way we can be guaranteed a Demidov or Macklin (because i have a weird feeling Sharks might go for the skilled russian🤷‍♂️). So we could offer something real good like Guhle and swap our 5th pick and maybe a 3rd pick. That way Hawks could still draft for Lindstrom or Catton that would help them alot plus they would have a good D in Guhle.
