  1. Toronto fans are dreaming, wright came back at the end of the season had 5pts in 4 games is on his entry contract is a Center. Mitch marner is on his horrible 11M contract. Everyone is ready to see what wright can do in a full year.

  2. Right team, wrong player. Dunn and maybe Raekopf or Firkus. Maybe a 50% retained Gourde. Kraken aren’t going to improve the offense with just Marner. They need Wright, too

  3. So you think Marner is going to wave his NTC to go to Seattle not going to happen so that is just plain stupid and shouldent even be considered

  4. I don't think that's the kind of deal Toronto will get for Marner. This is a league where every team looks at players in terms of contribution per dollars spent. And while I wouldn't go as far as to say that Marner holds negative value in that regard, $11.0m is quite a lot of money to pay…especially for a player who's first and foremost described as a playmaker, who spent that much time playing with one of the best goal scorer in the league. To be honest, I doubt it gets you a very recent 4th overall pick + a very valuable RHD, considering the cap relief on top of it.

Toronto isn't exactly negociating ANY Marner deal in a position of strength here. Not only does he have a NMC, not only is he a year away from free agency (yes, and extension can be reached), he's almost being kicked out of town, and has been widely criticized for his playoffs performances, nation-wide. I mean, that's a tough sell at any price, let alone at $11.0m per.

  5. A 32 year old defenseman and a guy who falling off from a projected 1st overall pick to fourth and still isn’t playing in the nhl. Wow put down the bong. FFS

  6. The true Question is Marner truly a 90 to 100 point player without Mathews? I say no. Put him in Montreal and he get's maybe 78 points max, but, I can be wrong. I just beat Maple Leafs easily in playoffs in nhl 24 lol, they did nothing, first time I win a series since getting the game, couldn't beat Florida and NYR. lol. Go LEAFS GO!

  7. So if you are trading Marner for a bust than you should gladly take the better package of norlnder, Barron, ylonen and Anderson/gally/ and the jets first.

  8. I would only do the Marner for Wright deal if we get Ty Nelson as well. Marner is proven, and Wright is not. Both 4th overall picks both great players both have plenty left to show. Go Leafs Go! 🪜

  9. If I am Toronto, I am only trading off Marner if I have a great trade partner. No need to get rid of a top player in the league for a bag of pucks. There is a reason why Wright is not in the NHL yet

  10. The kraken aren’t the new coyotes! No way this trade happens.
Larson has played in every kraken game as far as I know, and wright is the future.
Larson = Marner with 50% retained
    Or
Wright = Marner plus 2025 1st round pick
    Or
    2024 1st round pick = Marner
Seattle won’t take other teams hand-me-downs for free

  11. So the Leafs would trade a 100 point a season player for an AHL player that cant crack the Kraken lineup and an overrated stay-at-home D-man. Lol. Thats a joke. A first round and 2nd round pick plus Larsson would be better.

  12. If Elias Petterson continues to struggle in the playoffs, Maybe a peterson for Marner trade? Each get a new change of scenery. The money is comparable so It could be a straight up trade
