  1. gotta hand it to him for keeping it together, being patient with the media, etc. but this painting a picture of "we played well and there are two games and we're only losing 1 side of it…"…this is the same thing he did last year with the whole "we got swept but we didnt get swept" statement. the results are all that matters…no one looks back on the perceived nuance of the game. how long will rod be able to keep this stance AND his job?

  2. As a guy who was rooting for the Rangers, I have to give credit to Rod Brind'Amour. He is a great coach and they have a great team…….I like both of them actually……..

  3. I love Rod Brind'amour!! What a fantastic coach. Sometimes you run head on into a team on a mission and right now the NY Rangers are playing their best hockey 🏒 in 30 years. This team is on a mission. Carolina is a very good team, but they not on the same level as the Rangers. Its crazy that Carolina has not extended Rod Brind'amour yet…if they let him go it would be the worst decision they could make for their future.

  4. This dude is a god tier coach. Somehow finds himself down 3-0 again in a series where his team has played absolutely insanely well.

  5. KREIDER GOES FROM 0-60 IN 3 STRIDES. ITS LIKE HE WAS FIRED OUT OF A CANON. BEAUTIFUL TO WATCH , HE SHOULD Have HAD 2 !!

  6. Here’s the thing—they fed on the bottom part of the league all year—they had one of the worst records against the top teams. Rangers are too much and too deep. Carolina has no plan.

  7. Its never good enough for this guy, every season. People cant go by the supposed work ethic and his intensity. The RESULTS have not been there. Its time to go.

  8. One goal games says it all. Sometimes teams win when maybe they should not have, sometimes they lose when maybe they should not have. It’s just how tight playoff hockey can be. All I can say is they have been great games. I am biased as a die hard ranger fan. LGR.

  9. Not a Canes fan. But I can imagine their fan base getting tired of all their reg. season, but not getting into the SC Finals time after time.

  10. 15 PPs to 13PPs and outscored 5-0 on special teams. Dumping a large quantity of harmless shots won't win you games against a well-structured team with a great goalie, simple as that.

  11. Never thought of that, that last question was real, he didn’t even know how to answer that question, canes have been goood all year with the empty net even in the playoffs, but why can’t they score 5-4

  12. I like Rod but he seems flustered. There are “two stories”? Assume he is referring to 5v5 and Special Teams. Ok. Goals are even 5v5 and yes the Canes are getting crushed at special teams.

But at the end of the day those “two stories” merge into one game and one final score. And you can’t win one “story” but lose the game and take solace that you played “pretty damn good”.

  13. As a rangers fan, I love rod, the canes must keep him behind the bench!!! He truly has a passion for the sport of hockey and he is one of the best coaches in the league

  14. If Rod loses in 4 games against New York, Tre, from the Leafs should contact Rod immediately, to see if he is interested in the HC position with Toronto? A great coach, whom is demanding of his players and exhibits, solid team structure and systems! A coach with a tough and demanding demeanour is necessary, for the Leafs to have consistent success in the future!

  15. Love the Hurricanes and Rod .. not sure where the blame lies with the failure to win playoff games on the road or all the OT or 2-3 OT losses feels like ab 10 in a row now .. looks like it’s gonna be a repeat of last season getting swept losing by 1 every game .. appears the team may be regressing at this point but maybe I’m wrong

  16. carolina y’all need a new coach, rod is either to stupid to realize or to stubborn to admit that his game plan doesn’t work in the playoffs
