  1. As a blackhawks fan, yes I’m disappointed we didn’t get him, but it seems right for him to be a shark, played on the Jr. Sharks, its close to home, even the jersey in my mind looks more right on him than anywhere else. Only regret is that he won’t play with Bedard even in the world championships because they took him out

  2. It was meant to be for him to become a Shark. Awesome the Sharks finally get their 1st overall pick to build around. Would have been crazy if Chicago ended winning again, Bedard and Celebrini would have been unfair

  3. if only the Warriors had bought the Sharks and moved them into their new arena they'd have a much higher profile. Sad though, I wonder if Rick knows how much the NBA hates the NHL?

  4. "we assume if the Sharks were to select him" literally Mike Grier basically said they will be barring some unfortunate unseen incident.

    So humble

  5. As a local Oilers fan, I went to the Shark Tank two times this year to see my team play the Sharks. S.J. has a lot of passion for the Sharks, and they needed this big win. I'm happy for all Sharks fans. Remarkably, his dad works in local professional sports. Great Story, just awesome. Congratulations to the San Jose Sharks and the Celebrini family!

  6. the biggest culture change in all bay area teams is "Family" every team has some kind of "family tie" and its kinda cool to see

  7. This fires me up so much. Go Dubs and go Sharks! Let’s get it back on track for both of them next year!

  8. Congratulations San Jose! CHICAGO fan here. Us getting bedard made the stadium electric every time the puck was in his possession. I’m sure it will be the same for celebrini in San Jose.

  9. Yo for Basketball fans who are new to hockey or think it’s not for them, give it a try! The games are really cheap right now while we are rebuilding, and the cheap seats is where you will meet all the families who will be happy to adopt you and teach you the ropes if you just tell them it’s your first game! Let the ushers know also, they are soooooo dedicated and wonderful. I know a couple of them from Reddit and discord and they are just amazing stewards of hockey fandom. We have a great team with a really great reputation, and our rebuild is really looking spicy!

  10. I mean really could there be a perfect fit better than this? The beauty part for the Sharks is no one can say they reached by taking him #1 overall. Do the right thing San Jose.

  11. As I understand, generational meaning someone that good comes around every generation. If Cerebini is generational and Bedard is generational, how long is a generation nowadays 🤔

The term is too loosely used IMO.

  12. The only solutions…coach Q or Bérubé to shake things up! Bring some leadership experience and get rid of Tavares and Marner for a "return of investment even if it means losing a trade", Try to bring in the next best "Matthew Tkachuk" type of player. As for Goalies I would still run it back with Woll, Jones, Samsonov.

  13. I haven't cared for or watched Basketball since the 90s, but it was great to see Ricky's thoughts on the Lottery and Mack's future. It was fun to see the Golden State logo behind a long hockey press conference! 😆

  14. All NHL mock drafts have fluctuations between picks 2-16
All NHL mock drafts have Macklin Celebrini at #1

  15. So the first pick is… What a show. Real sports do not exist anymore. They exist but not on TV.
