Pretty sure all these people hate losing to a “Florida” team because of the past 8 years of politics and Florida man memes. Is our team really that much worse than the roster that ran over Miller and tried decapitating Patches? Did the blues not body the bruins while getting away with calls like the trip on Acciari? Did the Lightning not physically throttle each team on their way to two consecutive cups? I can understand hating a team for reasons, and then overlooking those same reasons when praising their team, but the pearl clutching and attempts at finding a moral high ground from each fan base is coming across as praise. If the panthers are THIS dirty then they’re a major threat going into next round. Can’t wait for round 1 next week against the rangers!

Objectively, if this was two teams nobody had an emotional attachment to, can ANYBODY make a case Swayman would have had any chance to stop this given how the play developed and where the puck landed right before Bennett shot it in? Even if there was no contact, Coyle was on top of Swayman’s dick and in no position to do a thing defensively. It looks a million times worse in super slow motion than it was in real time. This was a love tap and they wanted a call like it was a crippling cross check. It’s the playoffs. Grow a pair.
