While the playoffs are well underway, there are sixteen other teams that have been licking their wounds in elimination. Their reasons for failure are diverse in nature: It could be from undergoing a deep rebuild, injuries, awful luck, or a Devils-style freefall. Yet they have been out of the dance all the same.
This video is dedicated to these sixteen teams and their many mishaps during the season. Most will get another chance to redeem themselves. Arizona, however, will not. And it’s long been inevitable there.

i know the Ducks weren't good but the amount of injuries to key players this year was ridiculous. their top 6 was missing 3 or more players most of the year. they are not actually as bad as results might suggest
What's exhausting about being a 5th Liner here in Columbus (besides, yknow, EVERYTHING) is that the Monsters are *incredible*. Jet Greaves just played an absolutely insane game to move them to the next round of the Calder playoffs. I don't know why it doesn't translate. Maybe we should swap coaches.

I'm just here to see if you finally learned how to pronounce Lafrenière's name correctly.
Aeriths theme for the Canadians 💀
We almost bullshitted our way into a playoff spot? Almost like another one of this city’s godforsaken franchises.
you should have posted this until after the season ends
Hey tree your thoughts on Paul skenes mlb debut.
Hart's a RFA. There's zero chance he's given an offer.
All I remember is about 50 goals in games I watched being taken back due to being offsides by an inch or several feet. If cameras are going to overrule the Linesmen (especially on super-close, hard to define calls) will they eventually be moved off the ice into the stands, like the goalie judges?
The fact you referenced Leisure Suit Larry is insane and hilarious 😂
The biggest question i have about salt lake is do they really expect to draw a crowd in 4-5 years once the honeymoon phase wears off?
The team is moving, it's not expansion. Theyre inheriting a bottom tier roster, they wont have the new team magic Vegas had. Idk i think it was a rash decision and i wouldn't be surprised to see the team fold within a decade
Was the exodus of all of the star players from calgary(that is still going on post-sutter) REALLY simplified to Darryl Sutter being mean to them? nothing to do with those two american players not wanting to play in a canadian market making players want to leave after Calgary can no longer be a contender?
I feel like goaltending in the league overall was hot garbage this season 😂
carter hart WTF
Tree is looking good, I think bro cut a few lbs
Lol 12:30 the 2bc "Dadanaovvvv"
You nailed the Blue Jackets section. This organization is pathetic
Greatest game coming soon for Paul skenes debut????
Do… Do the Jackets go for Gronato?
to be honest the pens had a great run of time these past years they got pay the price eventually
So the Canadiens basically played card shuffler, troll extraordinaire at multiple points of the season despite nothing being expected of them, ESPECIALLY with the injuries they suffered… their prospect pipeline is white hot right now… the rebuild is coming along nicely, at least better than both Buffalo and Anaheim combined… and yet you STILL play the "cup finals debacle" card on to us? A Price- and Weber-sized hole? Come on Tree, we're way past that. At this point it feels like they'd be truly legitimate cup contenders 5 years from now and you'd still roll that tape again. Please, at least when the next season begins, PLEASE talk about something else about them, it's really getting old now…There's plenty more to talk about.
Next year is the make or break year I think for Detroit
The way it ended for Detroit was just so painful. Those final two games against Montreal sitting on the edge of your seat in full panic mode the whole time, only for Raymond to save our ass both nights, were so intense. And for it all to come crashing down because of a lousy empty net goal in another game, after the Flyers may have well been robbed earlier in the game, just really hurt bad. I know we did it to ourselves playing like shit without Larkin, and not beating the Capitals a week prior when we had the chance, but to come up short because of a faulty tiebreaker rule and one little thing not falling our way sucks. At least the Capitals got what they deserve for it being swept. And we're still on the rise, we'll be back next year with our talent in the minors coming up. Just have to learn from this and grow as a team.
As a Flames fan, I’m not worried about the next few few years. It’s about time we went through some tough decisions—putting it off for years and years has been the worst, finally being bad and shooting for picks and prospects for the future is the logical step at this point in the cycle of a hockey club’s life. You can’t always be good, and you can’t always be okay. That’s fine. The Flames fans that have accepted this are the ones that are optimistic to the future. The ones that haven’t can be found whining on the comments, saying “sell this person”, “sell that person”.
Flyers just ran out of gas. Tory’s was able to take a bunch of rookies, spare parts, and back up goalies to the playoffs doorstep in a “rebuild year”
You lose weight? You’re looking better than the leafs Stanley cup hopes
Hard to root for anyone in a league clearly run by KKK members that ban goalies from wearing masks because the artist wasnt white.
As a Penguins fan, I am wondering how long till the contracts can be bought out.
That was not enough seasoning tree😞
7:26 were not. Davidson needs the boot. He groveled back to us in the forst place. Buying out johnny hockey is too costly so thats out. Laine were probably stuck with on the books too. Our youth have contracts up all at the same time with not enough money to please them all. Tale as old as time.
Montreal at least is on its way up, they'll probably get another extra 8-10 points next season like they did every year since their 32rd place and they'll still miss the playoffs.
After that, they should be competitive…
Detroits collapse should be studied.
