Gms dont like offer sheeting lmao cause all the gms are friends. Offer sheets are rare. They happen maybe once or twice every decade.
Why would we offer sheet someone so short. We can offer sheet Marty Necas in a healthy way
Cole Perfetti is awful so far, needs heavy offensive zone starts to produce like a 3rd liner.
We have good trade relations with Winnipeg why jeopardize that? We have enough young prospects to make a trade if they really are ready to part with him.
The Habs have a very good relationship with the Jets, so I am doubtfull if an offer shert for Perfetti is likely. A trade maybe.
Would rather put the phone call in for Mcgroarty who may be holding out, possibly get a good deal.
Mind you, a high offer sheet means higher compensation
An offer sheet is just a terrible idea because even if the Habs have numerous 1st round picks the compensation given is always the teams own pick and not another teams. The Habs might have another top 10 or top 15 pick so it isn't a good idea for them to offer sheet anybody.
Trade the first round pick from the Monahan deal back to Winnipeg for Cole Perfetti.
