  1. Leafs are NOT gonna trade Mo under any circumstances he needs to have another guy that he can play with for next few years and build some chemistry

  2. You are right….if one of their stars had put up a good game….then they would be getting beat by the
    Panthers now like Boston is…

  3. You make a lot of sense compared to many making videos on leaf’s. I subscribed. Will watch more of your content.

  4. I think Joe Woll should the next playoff series. I said that this year after seeing him against Florida last year. He will be fine but it would be good to have a solid backup. I think it’s worth keep Marner and trade JT. Mathew’s might not resign after he is done his next contract. Mitch doesn’t have to be the top guy in the playoffs. He is good defensively. He loves being a leaf. A new coach may change him.

  5. Dale hunter and Mark Hunter should be hired for the leafs. Dale is a great coach. He changed ovi and made him play defence and throw body checks and play hard. It was short but he did good. He has a history of solid playing style

  6. Marner is a child he won’t wave he will play out the year and sign with another team, and the leafs will lose out that’s what Marner will do because he did not get the bigger contract and extension he thinks he deserves

  7. Let me say this young man if the LRAFS actually addresses the needs they required at THAT TIME EACH YEAR AT TRADE DEAD!INE and had not traded away all 1st round picks we would be better off going into this off season with higher inclinations of success. Hard decisions have to be made and conversations as well with those deemed trade worthy assets and MOVE FORWARD in doing so.
Make it happen, we BEG OF YOU! I was born 1970 and am still waiting after many years of CONTEMPLATING BURNING MY JERSEY CUASE YOU SUCK IN THE PLAYOFFS! Was is 1993 forever etched in my mind as the best LEAFS TEAM EVER! Give me DOUGIE back! give me hope back! Give me something I can tangibly hold on to, I’ve had nothing but status quo, NOT GOOD ENOUGH and I can only afford to go to your precious leafs game ONCE a year ticket prices in the Center of the hockey universe is ASTRONOMICAL even for nose bleeds, you want my support, start to WIN WHEH IT MATTERS!

  8. Andrew how much money could the leafs save just by trading Tavares keeping Marner out of the equation and letting the fluff go who are free agents like Swiss cheese man Samsonov, Giordano etc, could they still have 30 + million to deal with the deficiencies? Ie 2 bonafide D men a #1 goalie and forwards to resign like DOMI and BERTUZZI

  9. Why not trade Marner and keep Tavares (if that is an option?) Goaltending wise who is available in the trade market?

  10. Great content Andrew. Looking forward to all the off-season videos.

For me, the answer is trading Marner. It’s becoming more evident that he falls off when under pressure both on and off the ice. He’s a superstar and he’ll probably win a cup elsewhere but I don’t think it happens in Toronto. His handling of the media and his performance in games 5, 6, and 7 every year shows that it just isn’t working for him here.

I’d also have a serious conversation with Tavares. Is he willing to commit to the team for the rest of his career at a low cap hit? If so, get that contract done after July 1 and keep him on the team at his high cap hit this upcoming season. Tavares may not have put up big numbers last year but his effort was there and the underlying numbers were positive too. If we can obtain a second line center then we can even experiment with him on the LW.

It’s also worth mentioning that none of the above matters if we don’t fix our D and goaltending. As you mention, we need to balance the backend with puck movers and physical defenders.

Lots of work to be done.

  11. in addition to Marner, one other trade, is move up in draft from 23 to 15-18th, short-staffed teams that could use some depth, Robertson and Lilljegren 'experiments' are over, RFAs rather than extend or get nothing, the last 'good' pick is 15 to 18.(Sennecke, Beckett)

  12. I would see about resigning Domi although he takes some really bad penalties at critical times.

Bertuzzi I would let walk to me he wasn't a fit here, they need a better scoring winger let Bertuzzi go you can find better than him.

  13. I don’t think the Leafs have to do any moves other than decide what they want to do with RFA’s and UFA’s. If you are thinking they should re-evaluated the core of this team you maybe right, but I don’t believe in making a trade for any other reason other than having it improve the team. My feeling is there is no player that’s an untouchable if the deal makes the Leafs a better team. Keep in mind we do not determine if a trade 🎉improves the leafs, that job rests with the Leaf management team. I will say this Leaf Nation will make a lot of noise regarding how to improve the leafs and it’ll be interesting to see what transpires.
