  1. As a Vancouver fan man I actually feel bad for the guy. Not the team though. I bet he's feeling a lot of pressure.

  2. im not very knowladgeabel in hockey, so my question is: how much of a role does the team defense play a role in a goalis sv% and in particular with skinner and the oilers?

  3. As a former goaltender there is two playoff teams this year i wouldn't want to play for n most fans think they're good. Those teams are Toronto and Edmonton as they are both offensive heavy as they're both extremely weak at team defense and that's what really wins championships.

  4. A question about the Silovs stat: did the other rookie goalies achieve their rank in playoff games? Or was it for any game on the road?

  5. Yeah if they replaced Skinner with even an average performing playoff goalie and 1 of Nurse or Ceci they'd be 3-0 vs Van and probably have beaten Vegas last year.

  6. Canucks are calculated and have snipers who can take advantage. I suspect many goalie's SV% drops with the Canucks.

  7. Trust me, 90% of the Oiler fan base has been literally vomiting in their mouth in disbelief with how historically bad Skinner has been. This series may be far different if Skinner was even just a little below average. The other 10% are clueless optimists who refuse to see and or acknowledge the facts and stats as to how embarrassingly bad he really is. This is one of those moments in Knoblauch's NHL coaching career that if he continues to bet on Skinner, Knoblauch will be the 2nd most hated person in Edmonton. Just like Woodcroft, when Woodcroft went back to Skinner putting up shockingly similar numbers last year instead of sticking with Campbell who was beating Skinner in all playoff metrics. Skinner, at this juncture, is not even close to being at a pro NHL level and putting him back in net would be complete insanity.
