No matter how valuable Lindholm is to the team. The leaving of Kuzi totally destroyed Pety's line. It's the beginning of Pety's downfall, Mik is never again with this team, and the team is yet to find a way to regroup the line.
So… you have one D-man who left Draisaitl in his office to chase Mcdavid who already had 2 forwards on him, and one who steps up for a meaningless open ice hit on Eckholm of all ppl, allowing Nuge and McDavid a 2 on 1 from the blue line. Both end up as goals. What happened to this Vancouver Defense that was supposedly so vastly superior to Edmonton's? So far it seems the other way around. A few bad goals that Skinner doesnt let in and the Oilers are up 3-0 at this point.
