  1. The Bennett goal is a tough call for the officials, from neutral. It would drive me nuts if it happened to the Lightning. If it happened for the Lightning, I'd feel like we got away with one. But making that call itself, it was a pretty tough one. Not much of a hit on Coyle, put himself there. Swayman practically gets crushed. Bennett scores. I think it shouldn't have counted, but let's be real; after the Panthers tied it, they were winning this game. If that goal came back they would've gotten another one quickly I'm certain. That's just how the Panthers are playing right now, you're not stopping them unless your defense is air tight and your whole team is tough at nails at the very least.

  2. I am a scorned bruins fan that has been permanently banned from virtually every bruins subreddit over the past week for stating common sense (the Panthers are better in every aspect) and refuting the whole punch to the head thing. You initiate a hit on a big dude and get injured and then you want him to get suspended? What kind of logic is that lol.

  3. Coyle dove a bit on that play… maybe the refs saw there wasn't much of a hit on the play , and that Coyle dove to get the call?!? Bob needs to be better – this is 2 games in a row hes allowed some softies.

  4. My oh My how much ppl forget about the 3 elbows to the back of Rodrigues head..also they were targeting Barkov

Way to bring that up cuz that is 💯 we want to do it to you but don’t do it to us type of feel

  5. You know, your opening couldn’t be any more soothsaying than it is haha the first discussion at like the 2:302:50 mark was spot on. I said the same thing and remained absolutely unworried because the boys still looked good when we were down 0-2

  6. Bad calls cheap shots are part of the game it happens to every team it still pisses me off. The Panthers are in the B’s offense zone 85% of the time. That’s a disaster waiting to happen. Goals or penalties. While the series isn’t over I’m not betting the house on a comeback. The B’s can’t get over 20 shots on net Montgomery philosophy on quality over quantity sucks. It doesn’t work. On to Tuesday night. Rangers take it tonight. They’ve made the Canes look bad.

  7. Sucks you only get 3000+ views when the panthers lose. 1st game had cose to 4000, while all the last 3 games were in the mid thousands.

  8. Bruins fan here, I'll give credit where credit is due. Panthers have been the better team all series long. It's playoff hockey, it's a different type of hockey which sadly post 2011 Bruins fans don't get. It's not over but it sure does feel it. Congrats on the success.

  9. Ultimately, it was Toronto that made the call to confim the goal. And they usually give explanation on why they made the call that they did (haven't seen it). Plagens and Lindsay were confident it would stand. My eyes were deceiving me, as I thought for sure they'd call it back. 🤷

  10. Lightning fan here. You’re awesome Jaws 🙌

It is funny however that these wonderful goaltender interference calls have gone completely in Florida’s favor…every single time…

  11. I think you have a Moderator problem or something else is happening. Cause my comment was deleted and there was nothing offensive about it..

  12. 21-11 advantage on power plays, 100% a missed goalie interference call, and Bennett suckering Marchand. All of those things are true. People just love to hate the Bruins and Marchand so they say "cry more" or "42-18 SOG difference Bs suck". I haven't seen a single impartial hockey fan not admit the Bruins are getting hosed by the refing this series. Panthers are clearly the better team and I'd expect them to win anyway but this is just terrible to watch as a spectator of the sport.

  13. I'll take a stance on it, the play was clean. Had Bennett not defended himself Marchand may have injured him. Now Boston and its fan boys are pissed off. Also it is ok for their players to cheap shot us at every chance in game 4, also keep attempting to fight. It's a professional hockey game, injuries happen within the game. We are the more talented team and Boston is feeling that now, tough shit Boston fans. Panthers in 5. By the way, great take after the first period, you absolutely nailed it!

  14. Boston had a 3-1 series lead last year and look where that got them. End it in game 5 cannot let them have life

  15. Hey Jaws, I’d like to take the time to give you my interpretation on the controversy and hopefully you’d give it a read!

Rule 38.2 Subsection C followed by another subsection C

    (c) Scoring Plays Involving Potential "Interference on the Goalkeeper" – Either: (i) A play that results in a "GOAL" call on the ice where the defending team claims that the goal should have been disallowed due to "Interference on the Goalkeeper" (as described in Rules 69.1, 69.3 and 69.4); or (ii) A play that results in a "NO GOAL" call on the ice despite the puck having entered the net, where the On-Ice Officials have determined that the attacking team was guilty of "Interference on the Goalkeeper" but where the attacking team claims: (A) there was no actual contact of any kind initiated by an attacking Player with the goalkeeper; (B) the attacking Player was pushed, shoved or fouled by a defending Player which caused the attacking Player to come into contact with the goalkeeper; or (C) the attacking Player's positioning within the goal crease did not impair the goalkeeper's ability to defend his goal and, in fact, had no discernable impact on the play.

    1) Swayman’s legs were already max spread and had no time to get over to the side to kick the puck out of the way and out of the net.
    2) Coyle was already in the crease before the push impeding Swayman from using his stick arm to extend out and make the save.

Was there a cross check? Yes, should have been a penalty and play would have been dead, which would lead to no goal.
Was it goaltender interference? No, Swayman had no chance of saving that puck from going in the net even before the push (which was unnecessary) so, the goal stands.
