  1. If it brings in a return of a DMan like a Chychrun than I would do it.
Otherwise no unless he's already told the team he will test free agency

  2. Ehlers should be recognized as a good team mate and a talented forward. Sadly though he is flat out one of the worst turnover machine in Jets history. Coach after coach have recognized this and that is why he is often stapled to the bench when it matters most. Like the guy! amazed at his skill but I have seen so many brain dead drop passes to the opposition at the end of one of his ice capadesskate arounds that I will happily wave good bye

  3. I’d trade Ehlers for a really good RHD to either drop DeMelo down or be a #3.
It’s pretty clear the Jets don’t have the cap room to extend Ehlers long term and there is doubt he wants to sign anyway. Moving on this summer is by far the best bet.

  4. i love Ehlers, and i feel like he has yet to show us his full potential and I think that's been because of injuries, coaching, linemates. honestly, if we don't change anything and ehlers stays on the 2nd powerplay with shit linemates then I'm fine seeing him go because I want him to succeed.

  5. did u watch the series againat colorado? dude was invisible i wouldnt mind trading ehlers especially if we get a good return

  6. Trade Ehlers? NO! The return for him won’t be good. He’ll be way cheaper than Connor, trade Connor for right side stud Dman

  7. He sucks. Zero cups. Zero individual awards. Proven loser. You won’t win with guys like this or you’d have already done so. Trade him.

  8. If we were to trade Ehlers, we should trade him for the Sabres 11th pick or future picks. IDK if you watch NBA basketball, but the situation our team is at right now is very reminiscent of Phoenix Suns the last 3 years. Very good in the regular season, but choke in the playoffs. Even traded for Kevin Durant last year only to lose in the 2nd round. Personally, I think we should trade Kyle Connor instead of Ehlers, but I want picks for our team & to go with a very young team with 2 – 3 championship winning veterans (preferrably Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews & Jonathan Quick) to teach our young core how to play and act like stanley cup winning team.

  9. Its sucks but YES…. ehlers/perfetti trade for Dmen!!!! We got awesome prospects coming up, they'll not be missed 😮

  10. Jets win the cup building on Hellybyuck….. Morrissey's only getting better….. Stanley SUCKS, Pionk is Gionek, Schmidt is Schit…. Use Helly as selling point to blue chip NHL Dmen…. AND, who would wanna be on the Winnipeg Jets team that wins the Stanley Cup!? Thats merical on ice movie shit 😮

  11. The teams that do well in the playoffs have forwards that play tough, with grit,
and very physical play. An example would be Bennet, and Tkachuk for Florida,
as those are the types of players you win with. The Jets as well as the Leafs are
lacking these gritty tough forwards you need in playoff hockey. I love Nik Ehlers,
he's electric with great talent, but if the right players came in return for a trade
for him, I'd be looking at that very seriously.

Also the Jets got to get rid of Schmidt, and Pionk, and keep Dillon, who plays
very physical, and protects the smaller talented players.

  12. Ehlers is very likeable and a fan favorite, but at the end of the day, this is a business. The Jets NEED a RHD more than they need Ehlers. Ehlers is streaky, can become a turnover machine and he does not perform well in the playoffs. The Jets need a roster that is conducive to performing well in the playoffs, and Ehlers does not fit that mold. Trading Ehlers is a hard, but necessary move that needs to be done.
