The boys better be careful though, if they say his name backwards I think he’ll get banished to his home dimension.
minos157
26 year old 6’3″ thick necked Russian winger with 30 goals in KHL.
He’ll either be a key piece for line 1/2 or Kvasha and nothing in between.

The missing piece
Gleb2006
Seems high upside low risk
brennans4727
I know nothing about him but he scored at a .5 g/game and a .7 p/g clip as an alternate captain for Spartan Moscow last year in the KHL, which seems pretty good to me.
That’s supposedly 48 points in 82 games in the NHL according to NHLe

“25-year-old out of the KHL, who scored a career-high 31 goals for Moscow Spartak in 2023-24, his seventh season with the club.
Natural right winger, left-handed shot.”
Don’t hate this that’s for sure

Perfect low risk, high upside move

Goodbye Clutterbuck and Martin. Hope it’s not another Jan Kovar situation.

Apparently there were 12-14 other teams interested in him, you have to assume the Isles promised him a roster spot as part of their pitch
BoshuaJailey
Can this team finally hit on one of these international vet signings please
ianisms10
Stefen Rosner said he expects him to make the team unless something goes wrong
hopefulbeartoday
This is kinda surprising a lot of teams supposedly wanted him. He’s a lefty that can 1t and hits a lot at 6’3
Correct-Local3240
So he had one good season and 5+ years of bottom 6 grinding…. Sounds like Islander hockey to me!

In unrelated news, Butch just had a heart attack

Need all the improvements we can get
Kitchen_Director3429
Just watched 2.5 minutes of his highlights & now I’m convinced he’ll pot 40 next to barz and horvy

Calling it right now call: He will never play a game in the NHL.
Vinto47
Cool now sign some fucking defense or offensive talent is worth dogshit since we’ll spend 45 out of 60 minutes in our own end again.

Lou to Butchie: “I’m sorry”

I’ve heard this guy is a complete shoot first kinda guy. Exactly what we need. Even if he doesn’t score, it’s still SOGs that our guys can produce off of
ICallTheBigOne_Bitey
Neat. Never know how these guys will translate their game. Kuzmenko’s career high in goals in the KHL was 20 and then he scored 39 his first year in the NHL. Well worth the signing to see what he can bring.
Will be interesting to see what moves they make this off-season, but it’s nice that between Tsyplakov, Iskhakov, and Jefferies, they already have some fresh talent up front that can hopefully push for a spot on the team next year.
captain_poptart
These guys can be really good but they tend not to play defence. I’m a Canucks guy too and as much as I liked kuzemenko, he just wasn’t willing to play hard. Good on back door tap ins though. Rick tocchet stopped putting him on the pp1 and those goals dried up. We traded him for Elias lindholm and he’s been a beast
HornetNo2176
So a Russian Wahlstrom
SmashYourEnemies02
So how long before he is overhyped for being the answer in the top 6 like Kovar or Golyshev was?

Any good?
