Death, taxes and the Flyers have goalie issues

Giving up after what? A month and a half?

  3. zanothium

After only what, 2 or 3 games? How true could this be?

What’s the source? Because If it’s a source from Belarus I’d take it with a grain of salt, considering that country is just a puppet state for Putin.

I’m sure it’s a difficult adjustment, but I would imagine the majority of civilians in Belarus would love to get out and start a new life in an actual democratic country.

Not really a believer in curses but…

[As of now, it certainly appears the Kolosov doesn’t intend to return to North America. PHI will try to convince him otherwise.
Transition hasn’t been easy on him and I’m sure, especially as a 22 year old, being that far away from home at such a young age can be taxing mentally.](https://twitter.com/ADiMarco25/status/1791199347121565943) DiMarco

If he’s not mentally tough enough to deal with being away from home, then he’s not mentally tough enough to play goalie in Philly. Onto the next.

Let’s be real for a second, he came over here expecting to be with the big club. Then out of nowhere Danny pulls a miracle and gets Fedotov a week later.

We’re talking going from KHL starter to the AHL. I wouldn’t want to have moved all this way to downgrade either.

the Flyers already have him signed to his ELC, meaning they would need to agree with another loan. They wouldn’t do that. So either he doesn’t play hockey at all or he plays over here. There isn’t really much of a choice.

I’m sure absolutely no one will get worked up over this at all. Nope.

I wonder if they had another Russian in the AHL if it would’ve helped. When Patrice Bergeron was drafted by the Bruins they had Martin Lapointe who as an fellow French Canadian player to mentor Bergeron.

This is what happens when there are no other Russians or Belarusians available to help with getting acclimated. Of course there’s going to be issues. Once again, zero preparation by the Flyers.

Don’t think there’s much here. If anything, he saw the moron that’s behind the Lehigh bench that will most likely be his coach next season because this organization loves to accept mediocrity and reward failure(*cough* Rocky Thompson *cough*). Lappy had a HUGE heart as a player. But, he absolutely sucks as a head coach or assistant coach. He must be replaced.

Sounds more like just a bit of home sickness that will pass. This is exactly why he should have been given the games in the AHL “playoffs”. Whether he won or lost. Petersen never should have seen a game and this kid should have been shown that he’s going to be the starter here and given games to get his mind off of home for a bit. Allowing him to have a bit of fun doing what he loves to do. Just completely poor management by Lappy and Dillabaugh here. Inexcusable. Especially with the potential that this kid absolutely has.

  14. Hockey news hub is hot garbage, all of their articles are clickbaity bullshit

Kids homesick, I’m sure the flyers will try and persuade him to come back in the fall, maybe add a couple of his countrymen to the org to make him feel more at ease.
