When Andersen lets in a couple of softies every single game, you don’t really have a chance…I knew it in the bginning of the season, that if they don’t get a top 10-goalie, that seals it, and Andersen is not even a top 20…one good game in 5 that he played in the series is completely unacceptaple…switch the goalies, and Carolina would have won the series in 5.

Yeah. Andersen was sloppy. He is a good goalie but not playoff caliber. Carolina should go shopping for a new goalie in the off-season. Otherwise the team is solid enough to win the cup
The Hurricanes over the last 5 years have never once lived up to their true potential. All of that amazing talent has been wasted for 5 years straight. I was fully expecting this to be going to a Game 7 (especially with Martinook's clutch stick save and with Carolina carrying all of the momentum in the world) and yet the Hurricanes still find a way to blow this. Also didn't help that Kreider turned into a god.

Hats off to the Canes. Most teams would have rolled over after demoralizing losses in Games 2 and 3. But they fought and what’s more, outplayed the Rangers 5v5 for the majority of the series despite those tough losses. Even in this game it looked like they were going to cruise to a Game 7. Kreider and Igor (and the post) took over the game. Great series, GG Carolina – from a Rangers fan
