  1. My Sign Man story.

Five or so years ago, Fans of Philly did a road trip to Toronto bringing about 60 or 70 people up to Toronto. A few weeks before the game I message them if there are any tickets left just for the game(I live not too far from Toronto) and they have one for me.

I meet the group on the second floor of a large restaurant (Whose name escapes me) and It’s the pregame mingle..4 p.m. or so.

If anyone here, was there that day [my jersey looked like this](http://www.flyersofficialstore.com/256-thickbox/reebok-wayne-simmonds-philadelphia-flyers-premier-2012-winter-classic-jersey—orange.jpg).

So I’m drinking and mingling, different food stations kept supplying food so you had to walk the room if you wanted to try all the things. Meeting and chatting with Flyer fans all the way.

One fellow who chats me up asks me if I know who the Sign guy is? I’m caught a bit out of sorts not sure if I heard him correctly or not I ask “Who?”, he says “The Sign Guy!” a little louder..Yes I watch Flyer games and I do recall a fellow sitting behind the net holding up different signs from time to time, but not at that moment..I shook my head no and he shakes his head and walks away..and at that moment I remembered who the Sign guy is, and he’s walking away thinking I’m fronting as a Flyers fan.

I shout out, “The guy behind the net..he holds up the signs..behind the net..” He kept walking.

Good news was the Flyers won the game and I met a bunch of dyed in Orange Flyers fans from Philly, we ate and drank and watched the boys win together.
