  1. Maye might have a hard there ceiling than Williams. Not saying he’s likely to reach it. But he’s bigger faster and stronger.

  2. Guys… guys… relax. This team is being set up for next year and ready for 2026. Maye sitting will allow Pat's to be a sub .500 team allowing them to draft top 3/5 for next years draft. Trade down. Get ur riches. Get ur tackle and star wide and then some for the following year as well. The hard part is over. you have ur QB. This year and next year are ur rebuilding years. 2026 is when the Pat's should be ready to contend. So everyone relax. It's gonna be a long ride.

  3. One point that hasn’t been made, but could be is how the patriots were not necessarily a bad team last year. They lost a lot of close games and the thinking could be that with a good quarterback, those games would have been won. With Maye and Polk and Baker, those close losses could be turned into wins. Don’t sleep on these guys…. Time will tell though.

  4. penix has the highest ceiling. these bozos want you to think mobile scrambling quarterbacks some how have this illusively “high ceiling” and forgot all about the processing. none of these dudes can throw or process like penix. mayes gotta be the worst of the top 5 prospects. when you have decent mechanics but you are still as highly inaccurate as maye is then consistent accuracy itself is the ceiling. the mobility of the other quarterbacks are useless, theyre sack machines and thatll carry over into the nfl .. it always does. mobile quarterbacks have never won anything in the nfl anyway.

  5. I am fully prepared to have a bad season this year. Not on purpose, I just expect growing pains with a totally new system, I think the defense will still be ok but they'll need time to find an identity again (maybe?). So I'm cool with absolutely sucking this year. I fully expect it. I don't want a tank mentality, I want us to go out and compete, but if we can grab the best WR in next draft or get a very good WR currently in the league via trade or free agency, shore up some holes… Provided Maye works hard and irons out a lot of his problem areas? Sheeeeesh, we might have a top 10 QB NEXT YEAR. Idk, im sad BB is gone but this is an exciting time, I feel like I'm part of something new. i wanna be able to tell my kids I was there when the next dynasty was built

  6. Don't want to see Maye except for practice and preseason until next year. Let the kid develop and get even hungrier to play. I want to watch Jacoby Brissett teach all the new recievers and other offensive rookies and let them get some experience. That way his weapons are ready when Drake steps in next year.

  7. That's total BS that you have to play the rookie today. No you don't you just cant be cheap and you have to be willing to invest and keep your QB if he's close you cannot give up and try for the next unicorn.

  8. We’ll probably suck enough this year to hopefully actually draft the tackle that we’ve needed for God knows how long then we’ll be cooking!

  9. JJ has both the highest floor and the highest ceiling in this draft. JJ gets a decent team and the best WR in football to throw to. Would be very surprised if he is not the best QB in this draft. Where you go matters.

  10. Take the cardinals hat off. If that's your team cool. You work in Boston sports market. Go to St Louis if you want to be a fan then. That's like if I showed up to work at a company with a competitors merch on.

  11. "Ceiling" is worth assessing but can be a silly argument and shouldn't be the biggest factor in drafting. What are you actually most likely going to get is more pertinent.

And if we're being completely truthful, the qb they drafted in Rd 6 has just as high if not a higher "ceiling". Just sayin.
