necas fits into the age-range of our players, still, a lot of teams will be interested in him and i’m not sure how much $ he would want. for the right price he would fit well on the habs
Hearing this i feel like Necas should be Kent hughes number 1 target for this off-season. Extension probably comes in at ~7.5aav. Would immediately bolster out top-6 fits out window perfectly and is coming off a good playoffs with Carolina. Big question is cost but i can’t imagine it being exorbitant considering there situation and him being a rfa.
If the question is how do you build a playoff team then Necas is not the answer. He might be a serviceable regular season contributor a la Tatar
I think we need to swing for the big name this summer. We have enough 60pt potential players. We need more of the 70-75+ caliber, if they’re available

I’d love to add him, but take a look at other subs and basically everyone is circling him as a target. I’m hoping it happens, but I think it’s a long shot.

Just imagine the irony of Canes doing Necas + KK(as cap dump) for an asset.

How good has been Necas ? How good will he be ? Is he better than Dach ?
We should throw the bag at him and the Canes. He would speed up our rebuild.
Give them anything but our first (which even then, 1 for 1, I would think about doing it), Suzuki, Caufield, Slaf, Dach, Guhle and Reinbacher.
Might get downvoted, but Hutson could be expendable. We could use our first round pick from this year to draft an offensive dman. Imagine starting our season with Necas and Buium (basically a taller Hutson)!
