Necas offersheet for a 1st, 2nd and a 3rd is a huge overpay

If they did want Necas I'd try and work out a deal with them. Leave all that offer sheet drama nonsense in the past. In the end though they did us a massive favour by taking KK off our hands. The contract they gave him is almost as bad as us reaching for him at #3 when we had Brady Tkachuk staring us in the face.
The offer sheet was all derived by their owner Tom Dundon. I highly doubt Don Waddell was in favor of it but he works for Dundon so he did what he was ordered to do.
We need Necas. Imagine a top 6 of:
Caufield-Suzuki-Demidov
Slaf-Dach-Necas
Then, we should sign DeBrusk to a 2-3 year deal. He would be on a line with Newhook and someone else.
And last of all, the only REASONABLE free agent signing in 2025, would be Carter Verhaeghe. Legit 2nd liner of the future.
Necas would be AMAZING for the Habs.
Carolina got burned for offer sheeting kotka, they did it as a revenge for offer sheeting aho but habs called their bluff

Necas' playoffs in a nutshell: skate around the perimeter, do nothing with the puck, lose it.
He's cut from the same cloth as Marner and Pettersson. Absolute ghost. Hard pass.
He will want a long term deal, and he's not THAT special, we probably have a prospect like him that will be better, rather we sign a difference maker next year.
I’ve been saying this for awhile now. Necas in our top 6 with Dach and perhaps a Demidov, Lindstrom or Iginla? Things would shape up very well quickly in Hab Country! Hughes got to make this happen! Watched him play against the Rangers! He looked great out there! Great skater , big body, skilled and can score! Also throws the body! Hughes isn’t a type of guy to offer sheet a guy like Bergy. I think he needs to try and trade for him for sure!
Apologies for the long comment. My pals and I have been discussing Habs acquiring Necas so comments appreciated. Given RFAs can't be offer sheeted until after the entry draft Habs can use this years draft picks to do whatever they decide. If they offer sheet Necas they will have to give up a 1st, 2nd, 3rd in the future. Does it matter given Habs management expects the team to compete for the playoffs next season? Habs next year 1st round pick should be in the teens so probably no great loss. Habs can also sign a good UFA winger this year or next providing CAP space. In a year or two Tuch, F Xhekaj, Beck, Kappanen, Dobes and hopefully Fowler will be ready so should be in a strong position. Dvo, Savvy & Armia will be gone and Andy & Gally will be near the end of their contracts so could be bought out if not traded. The rebuild will be over quicker by acquiring Necas. Since the Canes do not have the money to sign Necas trading for his rights, for example Guhle won't happen given if Canes had the CAP space they would sign Necas.

I think KK get bought out at 25 years old, last year of the 1/3 ratio availability. That will save 4 years of burden.
Watch Nacas's goal against the Rangers, makes a big hit which creates the zone pressure and leads immediately to his goal. This is what the Habs need, 6'-2" 190 lbs with great all-round skills..
Who said Eiserman is big? Not & is a soft shoot-first dude like Caufield. Scouts are noting his elite release but less than excellent wheels. Cole is trade bait ASAP before he has another just OK year re-stats.. You love this tiny boy and his 'bad shoulder'. KK, just was not a good enough skater, still isn't, slow feet, bad draft pick. Cayden Lidstrom is suppose to have size and good wheels.
Possible Necas Offer Sheet from Montreal?
Necas to Mtl is a blast ahead for the Habs depending what we need to give in return, can’t be a player that’s got a huge salary because of the Carolina limit with the cap, let’s find a way to do it ASAP!
