Sheldon Keefe was recently fired by the Toronto Maple Leafs. According to reports, it seems like he’s the front-running candidate for the New Jersey Devils’ head coach position. Despite the Maple Leafs continuing to struggle to make it out of the first round, Keefe still has a lot of upside. Also hiring keefe is like ehhhh, leafs are basically our team good offense , crappy D and crappy goalie, he wasn’t able to win that same make up of a team
Yea no way sens trade their captain unless it's a massive haul. Devs dont need to shake up the roster that much; a goalie, hard nosed dman and some bottom 6 depth pieces
I think Woodcroft, or Boudreau are the best candidates.
Can’t add any offense till trade deadline or till they get goalie and two dman
The Brady Tkachuk trade is fantasy island. NJ would have to give up a big marquee player of Ottawa's choosing in addition to other assets to make it work. The Devils can't afford Brady in addition to a "Big Game" goalie and a physical defenseman. It is wishful thinking.
With Keefe, this coach has been successful at every level of coaching. I think the Devils need to concentrate on becoming a consistent playoff team before they consider Stanley Cups. Keefe or Woodcroft would be a good fit.

Hell no. The Devils are such a boring team to watch in a state that barely has a fan following for hockey. Don’t force it. Keefe deserves a better market to coach in. Although all the current vacancies are in some unappealing teams.

I can see Keefe in NJ. He has a proven track record in the regular season. His team just doesn’t preform in the playoffs. I think the Devils players might actually listen to him. The Devils need good defensemen and a goalie. Their offense isn’t that bad.

The only player I would get rid of for Tkachuk is Meier welll maybe Bratt too. Otherwise there’s no one Ottawa will want. We actually need like 3 Dmen and 3 depth forwards oh and a goalie lol

lol you wouldn’t need to give up both Hughes brothers for Tkachuk.. a reasonable and fair deal the devils should absolutely do is giving up Bratt & Mercer for Tkachuk, and maybe even a 1st rounder. We need him.
