Pavelski should get an assist on the winning goal. Replay showed he backhanded the puck and Duchene buried it.

Judging goalie interference in the NHL has become the equivalent of judging a catch in the NFL.
It had to be on Marchment’s goal too I feel so bad for the guy I think he had 3 other overturned goals in the regular season this year though nothing like this. I had the feeling no matter what actually happened they weren’t going to overturn it but after seeing that replay I didn’t know how they could call that a no goal. In the end there are always going to be bad calls and you have to win anyway so proud of that response. Go Stars!
With how the replay has gone this playoffs, I totally agree that could be the case. Announcers went with the “not enough evidence” line but come on, all the camera angles they have is surely more evidence than the lone referees angle. Anyone with eye balls could determine that wasn’t interference

If that was goalie interference then why was Sam bennett's goal not? His was actually worse. But it was a good goal. I think ur right, they just didn't want the series to end on a review. Aka corruption

Avs got outplayed most of the series, Nathan McKinnon was a huge disappointment! Wyatt Johnson played better then him the whole series
I’ve never seen a series that was so close to a 4-0 sweep to going to a Game 7 in a flash.
Stars D was insane.
Avs could really get things going for 1 1/2 games. Dallas D dominated and Otter was huge.

I'm now a sub. And all of the negitive AVs fans that Ive been reading and not objectively seeing how the game was really played, I'm sending them here. You've given the Avs the credit they deserv and that should be rewarded. I've been a Stars fan since they came to town and find it to be a better game than football. And I grew up in the Tom Landry era. 1999 seems so long ago( i guess it really is) I think this may be our year. Rolling four strong lines even when you dont have every regular player, pays off. The guys have bought into the motto, "A little less for a lot more". Thanks for your work and passion. BTW, I agree with your theory on goal/no goal. Sound logic.
I completely agree that they didn’t want to end the series on that. It was 100% a goal! I’m so glad they won, because otherwise I would have had to root for a team from Texas for the first time in my life. Thankfully that was avoided.

Honestly I don't know how Avs management thought they would go far these playoffs with Drouin and Lehkonen around Mackinnon. I understand Nichushkin's situation is a complete curveball, but that forward core is no where near deep enough to go far in the playoffs.
Shannon, u sent me a link to the rules regarding goalie interference a few weeks back. What transpired yesterday did not qualify for any of those rules. In 40 years of watching hockey, that was an insult to us hockey fans. It's like a guy making a three point shot in basketball and refs saying that the player touched the line. After review showing the player was clearly not stepping on the line, officials would still call it a 2 pt shot. I'm not sure how else to compare this awful call?

Although I'm glad the Stars won, the disallowed goal was leftover bad karma from game 6 of the 1999 Finals. If you recall, there was great controversy over the Cup-winning goal (in the third OT!) It may have taken 25 years, but the hockey gods finally got their revenge.
Here's something fun you can do if you rewatch the game. Every time Tanev dumps the puck it should be icing. He never make its to the center line. Have fun counting.
As many others have said, I have no idea how that goal was called by even after being reviewed, very clearly wasn't in the paint and was also pushed by Makar. Things like this is why I can never take this league seriously.
