Sounds like obviously he’s coming over, but if he doesn’t make the team for whatever reason (highly unlikely) then he goes back to the KHL until 2026. Just my interpretation. Could be wrong.

The headline is confusing. What I believe it is claiming is that MM’s current contract with his current KHL team, SKA/St.Petersburg will end. MM will then come to the Flyers. However, if MM would return to Russia SKA would still have the rights to him in the KHL.
