We're NOT talking Janmark being boarded or Hyman taking a high stick to the face before McDavid? I mean, if we're going to complain, let's do all of it. McDavid SHOULD have been given a 4 minute major, but there were plenty of other calls that were missed before that happened.
That was not "stabbed", or "harpooned". It was SMACKED, or SLASHED. Pls, get your terminology right! Besides, there is no Derek Brown. It's Derek Ryan.
Kelly Sutherland is THE WORST! Reminds me of the refs from WWF back in the day. 🤣 The refs and linesman should also be subjected to questions, interviews and press conferences. Hold em' accountable!
Calls missed both ways. The hi stick, too many men, slew foot. Name it. It is prison rules in the playoffs. Don't be a Marner whining about missed penalties.
Vancouver fans stop crying. Its the playoffs. Yes i know you dont know what the cup is. You have to play so well that even the refs cant sway the game with a bad call or two. Thats the reality of it….the rest is just excuses. Little cut on his cheeck and hes crying. Soft
Canucks fans quick to point out the missed high stick, but ignore the play Zadorov scored on, which even Kevin Bieksa said should have been a Too Many Men penalty, or their goalie getting caught behind the net on a bad decision to go out, and then HOLDING the Oilers forward to prevent a goal.
idk if you've tuned into the pwhl playoffs at all, but last night's Boston vs Montreal game went to 3OT and also had some reallyyyy debatable reffing. would love to see your coverage on some of these games, they're getting into some serious hockey
I think the referees should never miss a call , just because they don’t have eyes in back of their head is no excuse. They shouldn’t call the game the way they’re informed to. Just because at times they have to watch a video 10 times to get it right is no excuse. A very slow game like that should be called perfectly. I watched the game on tv and I know they made some missed calls and bad decisions, [ I coach from my couch]. If my team wins I know then that the refs will have finally got it right. ——couch coach —gil
What pissed me most about the McDavid no-call on the high-stick that drew blood was NOT that it was missed. Anyone can miss things, it's that I believe the refs didn't want to send off such an entertaining player for 4 minutes for just a "light" high-sticking.
Hey, while you at it. Florida Boston. Boston trying to score. Boston player is pushed into floridas tender, without a way to avoid it due to florida player control him and making sure he cant avoid collision with goalie, boston player gets goaltending interference. I mean wtf!!! Wtf is that call? So you can just always control opponents so they collide with your own goalie and they get a 2 min call. And you can also push opponents into their own goalie so he is knocked down and wont get called and you can score, just making sure is just enough power when you do it so its never a clear crosscheck. Fantastic way to take advantage of stupid refs
As a Leaf fan I think I've seen something similar. 93', Leafs vs Kings, Gretzky high-sticking Gilmour, blood on his chin. I seriously have no idea how this keeps happening. They just never learn.
Fun fact! The canucks have never won a game that kelly sutherland has reffed! With that being said there was 3 majors the oilers commited this game that never got called and possibly two of them could have been game misconducts. Along with about 12 other missed holding, crosschecking and hooking penatlies. And im from edmonton lol. All this says to me. The league wants this to go to 7 games. $$$$
The officiating has been HORRIBLE. It's funny because last year, when the Oilers played Vegas, I came away hating the Golden Knights. This year, I have a lot of respect for the Canucks themselves, I just hate the refs. I do really want to know what on earth happened to lead up to that spear from Derek Ryan. He's usually very calm and is one of the last Oilers I'd ever expect to see that from.

Who tf is Derrick brown?
This channel just complains about everything. Anymore, it is like he hates more about hockey than he likes.

Holy shit who cares?
"hilarious shot of derek brown" its derek ryan, just a heads up lol

Gretzky on Gilmour in '94. Same thing. Best player on the planet gets a pass.

Vancouver …a bunch of babies. This is the playoffs…dont burn your city down this time.

WHAAAAAA !!! would you like some cheese with your whine?

Can't have it both ways

McDavid and McBlood don't mix.
I guess.
Edmonton was given this game. NHL is not a real league.
This is why enforcers are needed in the game. When the refs refuse to make calls the players take it into their own hands.
I love seeing vancouver have a strong team get under their skin, reminds me of a certain Cup Finals from 13 years ago
If the refs did there jobs then players wouldn’t be so aggressive….its simple

If you look closely at the Florida boston series Florida has been getting the softest power plays ever while boston needs to get shot to get a call.

oh I’m sorry, I thought this was still hockey
Canucks need to put their fuckin purse down and get in the octagon

Penalties missed both ways, but not seeing as many cheep shots let alone ones that could cause injuries,.. and that’s the problem.
For those wondering, Derek Brown is the love child of Derek Ryan and Connor Brown (0:35)
Yeah, check out how badly the Bruins are getting screwed in their series.
A bit one sided calling by you. You should do better
the mc gretzky law
One thing that’s become clear is that most Canucks fans have no idea how the rules work.
