He’s done well, especially for the playoffs, but its still a pretty small sample size.

What do you do with him anyway? You’ve got Demko.

  2. CompetitiveAd9760

He’s doing great, is young and I hope he can become a number 1 somewhere, but an average goalie going on a big playoff run then never showing that again consistently is pretty common.

  3. 32 right? What is the average age of a goalie nowadays – assume 40is when most step away?

Definitely backing up next year though

Edit – I’m way off. Ignore me!

He’s done amazingly well in a pressure situation across a small sample size. I’ll be curious to see how the Canucks handle his development moving forward. On one hand, he’s been thrown to the wolves and thrived, but on the other hand, I feel like you want to handles goalies development a bit slower than your average skater.

Absolutely he’s been thrown into such a difficult situation

I want Nick’s to win because I just don’t wanna root for Edmonton

Latvia is loved in Vancouver for producing such a talent

He’s been so good that they aren’t even talking about him anymore. It’s just expected that he will be good! Pretty fuckin incredible

He’s deserved an opportunity with the big club. If Demko is still hurt next October, let Silov hold the fort down and give Demko more time to heal.

If Demko is 100%, let Silov give him solid breaks

Canucks got a solid prospect/young goalie in Silovs

The Canucks having 2 potential franchise goalies on their roster is such a blessing. There’s no way you trade one, at least not yet. Take advantage of the options that this gives you

Agreed. He’s been great, especially given the situation he was thrown in to

I was waiting for a post about him. I watched the entire Canucks/Predators series and not ONCE did this man look like a *3rd string goalie*.

This dude won the MVP at 22 in the World Championships, not the Juniors, the fucking World Championships. As a Goalie. Only 2 other Goalies have done that in the 25 years the award has been around. Both of those players were over 30 at the time, one being Pekka Rinne.

Let’s not forget this was all on the Latvian national team.

Don’t worry Canucks are winning skinner sucks

  14. nmo31536000

They WILL win. Conartist Mcdavid will not show up and Canucks win

  15. Faceit_Solveit

This guy is this year’s Adin Hill. Or Jake Oettinger. Where’s he from?
