  1. I do believe this is the first time in 30 years as a Canucks fan that Vancouver left the playoffs and no one is complaining about the goal-tending.

  2. Very heartbroken by the loss.

I have some semblance of hope with the organization making some massive culture changes compared to what they were a year ago, but it doesn’t change that the loss stung.

Barring aside a number of bozos, most of the Oilers fans I talked to were awesome. Happy for them.

  3. my heart for the nucks is broken- however now i dont have to root against them in the wcf since im from dallas and theyre my number 1. we'll beat the oilers as is tradition for any dallas success, we must beat up old rivals.

  4. Full props to Vancouver for making this series a classic. It was an all out war and lived up to the billing.

It may be just me, but i was very disappointed in Petterssons playoffs. 6 points in 12 games simply isnt good enough for the money hes going to make, especially when Boeser went down.

I feel like their window is now wide open and with the right moves could make a deeper run.

  5. Oilers fan here. I have followed the Oilers from the Beginning (yes I am that old). All I can say is that I really appreciate it when we are in a division here all the teams are tough. Thats whats leads to the wins. I am so glad that we had a battle with the Nucks. If the Oilers win out I want to say thank you to the Nuck for forcing the team to reach a different level. Whenever the Oilers won the Cup they had to battle (Calgary, Jets and now Nucks). The battle makes you hard and you realize why the Stanley Cup playoff are the best sporting event in the World. It just gets harder from here and I hope that the Oilers have learned and remembered how hard this is. In the past it was the Jets or the flames which "tempered" the team for the war in fromt of them. The Canucks will be a problem for everyone next year. I can't think of any reason why they would regress.

  6. I didn't like how the game started and for a lot of it afterwards, when the Canucks seem to be playing like they were protecting a two goal lead. The Canucks power play was so bad that they should have declined the call, because it disrupted them whenever they were dominating play 5 on 5. The excessive passing was a huge problem all series long. The Oilers have below average goaltending and you just need to get some pucks on net, but the Canucks treated the Oilers' tandem like they were both Vezina finalists. Also Mikheyev is a line killer until he gets whatever curse on him is lifted. You can only have a player like that on the 4th line. Gutsy effort by Silovs and Garland.

  7. If canucks didn’t score 2 and lost with 0 goals. A riot was possible. There extreme effort late in the third made us proud and avoided it

  8. All in all quite a turnaround season for the Canucks. Always disappointing to lose in the playoffs but congrats on the success Canucks players and fans, come back stronger yet for next season.

  9. The Canucks have nothing to hang their heads over, this is a really good, young, hockey team that will be back next year and will have the added experience of knowing what it takes to get to the top. I look forward to seeing them next season. As far as Petterson is concerned, the Canucks did not lose because of one player, they lost because it took them far too long to get going, that being said, despite Shannon's forgiving attitude, ONE power play goal in 13 playoffs games when you're salary is in excess of 11m per season, is simply…..UNACCEPTABLE!

  10. Well, as a hater/doubter of Canadian teams, I was ready to pat you on the back and say at least the Canucks proved they were real boys this year…but man did they crap the bed.

Tonight the Canucks proved they aren't as deep as we all thought they were. I hope they can make the moves they need this summer and come back stronger.

  11. Super Proud of the Canucks this season hopefully it’s a building block to many more exciting playoff runs. The Canucks unfortunately missed the net too many times and pp was terrible. If they played better from start maybe they win it. That was truly a disappointing loss but still very proud of the boys as always Go Canucks Go can’t wait till October

  12. No shame here, hold your heads high. If it's any consolation our Oilers will be washed up in 2 yrs and you guys could be hosting another riot.

  13. Thinking the nucks "took over the game" for basically any stretch is laughable. Cloudy makes a dumb play, goal against, bouch ices the puck for no reason, goal against. Beyond the breakaway and petersons miss off the cross ice pass on the PP they had no opportunities all game.

  14. 53 years and counting. Kinda knew when brock was out the team morale would be down. Canucks luck in a nutshell. 😢

  16. Kudos to the Canucks team for making it as far as they did and for the season they had. In the end it just wasnt meant to be for them to see the WCF this year.

The stars have aligned for the Oilers, and in a self proclaimed "cup or bust" season the pressure only continues to mount.

They're a veteran team now, so we can expect level heads but its still one helluva climb ahead. But I know one thing.

No team is looking forward to a series against the Oilers.

    LETS GO OILERS!

  17. A couple things I notice after the fact is that the Canucks only had 2-3 shot attempts after the 2nd goal to pull within 1, and 0 on net. It felt like they got close, but only a couple of shot attempts, and that’s including the centre ice slap shot with 3 seconds left. And also, there was no whistle for the last 3:30ish, so Vancouver was never able to use the time out and set up a play, or give the top guys a second to breath because they all played a ton today
