Tbh I never expected the oilers to win this series. They're not the best defensively, but they got a crazy offense. I hope they go all the way now, but dallas is a big big ask.
4:156:17 Cole in defense always somehow chooses very dangerous angles and it feels like he forgets the player that he just interacted with. Maybe just unlucky, but it feels strange. In previous games as well he has his back turned against a player in front of the net, I guess to try to stop a pass, but he missed the pass and the shot, I'm just an amateur but I always thought that it was the best in defense to get the angle so that you can see the puck and the most likely recipient in front of goal instead of turning your back to one or the other, or at least you must know where the one you turned your back to is if possible, or better yet, make sure that you cover one of them completely.
This was not a good look for the Canuckers. Playing the long game did not help as it was too little too late. And being out shot on a 4min PP was embarrassing. They finished checks made 20 bells saves but the offence left their goalie surrounded on the Rockies alone. Edmonton clearly played like they wanted it. But last 10 minutes kept me from from turning this game off
Canucks getting dominated for 50 minutes, trailing by 3 just to tie it in the last minute and win it in ot. Would've been the typical fashion of this years Canucks playoffs. Glad for the Oilers that didn't happen. GG
I wish Mikey and Bobby would read some of these ridiculous comments on their show. Vancouver exceeded expectations and overcame some crazy odds. Next series the Oilers are going to have to face a red hot Oettenger, not a minor leaguer, who did very well, not taking anything away from Silovs.
So the Canucks have an A team and B team? Which one played in first two periods? Different team in third period. Should've played all three periods like they played the third. Probably a different outcome at the end. Not to dis the Oilers who outplayed, and outshot the Canucks.
