  2. As a projection, is he like a Byfield 2.0? I really didn’t keep up with draft analysis this year.

*Murray* and a team doctor are going to write in a report that he’s A-OK

*Desjardins* says still ranked at 3rd Nhl Central Scouting — and well earned

Murray who’s that? Desjardins?…this sounds PR, I don’t believe it now, it’s like a press release saying “he’s fine”, – I say wait until the combine and Habs doctors confirmation & totally buyer beware.

    Lindstrom/Hermiston

Nobody doubts his potential, but bad backs are bad backs. His agent believes in him, at least, but I wouldn’t trust his assurances too much either.

    Risky pick!

The fact that it’s still not 100% is a little concerning to me. The upside is tantalizing but man that is a risky pick if there are any lingering issues.

Full faith in KH and JG doing their due diligence and making the right call!

I feel like any uncertainty with him likely makes Demidov a lock to go top 4. Not that there was ever much of a chance of him falling to 5.

Bad backs are no joke, especially for someone who relies on being a physical unicorn like Lindstrom. The combine will be very important in determining where he goes.

Honestly, at this point, I’m starting to hope Lindstrom is gone at 3 or 4 so the Habs don’t have to make that call.

Zeev Buium may very well be the BPA at 5; too bad he’s LD but I don’t even care. Tij Iginla is tempting as fuck and looks like a lock for the top 6. And even Zayne Prekh looks like a monster. All of these would be fine picks at 5, IMO. I’ve cooled down on Catton recently because the defense (and therefore the ability to be a center in the NHL) is a question mark.

Edit: Just came across [this recent draft ranking](https://thedraftanalyst.substack.com/p/2024-nhl-draft-final-top-32-rankings) (May 16), which looks like it took a lot of work; the top of the list goes Celebrini, Silayev, Demidov, Iginla, Helenius, Buium, Catton. Lindstrom and Levshunov are 13 and 14.
