Wow, Brett Hull and Pavel Datsyuk on a 3rd line. Talk about an embarrassment of riches.
Great collection of videos on the Cup runs, I didn't know they had so many shortis during each run. I still remember thinking going into Game 7 against the Avs thinking with if this game is a blowout and it ended up being that. Final comment this was during my senior year in high school and for my birthday/graduation gift from my mom she got me 2 tickets for Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals and I my older rother took me for my first pro hockey game and my younger brother ws upset that he couldn't go and I told him to don't worry and that they'll win the Cup on his birthday which ended up being true
Hull – ovistyle
Shanny – sharpshooter
Larionov – genius
That Yzerman pass at 1:36 was brilliant
Roy's statue of liberty save has got to be my favorite Wings playoff goal of all time. Yzerman gloving down the puck, Stickhandling basically in the crease, Roy making an incredible save, and then fumbling the puck into his own net, and finally Roy's reaction when he realizes he just gave the Wings the lead late in the 1st. It just has everything.
Our all-star team. Loved every minute of it. These guys took pay cuts to make it happen, remember that. -Love from Detroit. P.S. Datsyuk's rookie season..
Hull with this team…lol
2:50 Biggest goal was Lidstrom's half ice in Vancouver against Dan Cloutier. It turned the series in favor of Detroit.
The greatest mystery was why Dan Crawford started yelling at his assistant immediately after the goal.
The assistant was not in net
LGRW
chris chelios should be the coverboy of chel every year.
8:45 There wasn't much net available for Brett. I remember watching this live wondering how in the world did he score.
26:44
Almost ten percent of this video is just Wings/Avs game 7
23:55 lol holmstrom stole his goal 😂
I love that they score so often when the crowd is doing a stupid chant at an away game.
Yes. Incredible team.
Damn I miss Gary Thorne calling NHL games. So much better than Doc and his passing descriptions
How average was Hasek on this team?
Hasek, Osgood and Cloutier were all mean muggin’ in their helmets
best team of ALL TIME!
Retire #91
Red Wings players have eyes IN THE BACK THEIR HEADS! Unreal passing angles!
Lindstrom from CENTER ICE!!!!! Holy cow……
Chelios at around 4:00….How on EARTH did he thread that needle?
20:58 Roy humbled himself 🤣🤣🤣
2:53 9:43 Oh baby!!!
That game 7 against Colorado was unbelievable.
There was a passing play of Hull to Datsyuk, Datsyuk to Yzerman, and then Yzerman to Lidstrom on one of the goals. Stupid amount of talent.
9:07 0:35 16:28 wicked shots!
Greatest team of all time hands down!
Game 3 vs Vancouver, Lidstrom from the blue line
Game 6 vs Colorado, the infamous “statue of liberty” goal
Game 3 vs Carolina, Larionov in 3OT
The three goals that flipped momentum in each series. (St Louis series was never in doubt lol)
22:48 And the roof is caving in here on the Colorado Avs.
Cloutier was Swiss cheese in this series.
19:07 19:34 Patrick Roy’s reaction!!!
21:18 I’ve got it. Oh my gosh I don’t have it!
GREATEST TEAM IN NHL HISTORY!
I miss the Red Wings playing in the Western Conference.
So my power play lines: Shanahan-Yzerman-Hull, Fedorov-Lidstrom; Robitaille-Datsyuk/Larionov-Holmstrom, Chelios-Fischer. Stupid good.
Scotty Bowman the greatest hockey coach of all time.
team with 10 hof players assembled by one of the best coaches in history scotty the beast bowman! 🤷♂️👍redwing fan for life! 🤗👍👍
Best Team Ever!!!
Lidstroms g2 goal against the nucks really was the biggest goal of the entire run. Turned everything around
"I don't score Playoff goals often. But when I do, it's probably on Patrick Roy."
-Dmac, probably
This maybe the best team ever
